Title: i'm a daddy!

he was born last night at 7:49pm, he weighs 6lbs 14oz., and he was 19.5" long.  he's perfectly healthy (thank god), and he's as beautiful as he can be.  he's got a full head of black hair.

Congratulations !

I'm sure you will/have heard this before, but savor the time you have with him when he is young. My son just turned 6 and he is growing up so fast. The last 6 years seem like a blur to me.

My son just started Kindergarten... it's crazy how time flies by.

And let me confirm the rest of them.. the time fly’s by. My oldest turned 24 this month and lives in another country. Enjoy them now.. Teach them to fish and throw a base ball... these times are Priceless and can't be bought or replaced. For ANY amount of money....

And ya won't have any of that anyway..  brats are EXPENSIVE!!

Congratulation... I can only agree to what was said above they grow up so fast my first just started school this month and my youngest is 2 now. Time goes by so fast... hes adorable...

For sure... My youngest(32) is older than most of the board members... Now I'm waitin' for the grandbabies(twins) to get a little bigger so I can really spoil them...

congrats man. cherish these times. even though you won't sleep for at least 6 mos. it is worth every sleepless second. they grow up so so fast . mine is already 3 1/2 and it seems like yesterday he was born.

Was my plan with my oldest son, Even named him [FONT='Times New Roman']intentionally with the initials RPM.. bought him a [/SIZE][/FONT]Yamaha TriZinger (http://"http://www.vintagemotorsports.net/images/85%20tri%20zinger.JPG")at age 3… we were going RACING!!![/COLOR]

Kid went on to win typing contest, reading novels and wrighting some kick ass poetry.

He will be who he is… don’t try to steer him to far into what you want him to be.

However… doesn’t hurt to keep this (http://"http://www.jr-dragster.com/") bookmarked (printouts laying around his bedroom wouldn’t hurt either… you know.. JUST in case!!

I'm really proud for you.We've got 4 altogether.Hers,mine and ours.Love 'em all.Take care of Momma as well as the baby.If you need a really good name for the new addition to your family,Vincent has always worked well for me.Feel free to use it.

About raising them to be gearheads,I believe you have it or you don't.Not something that's taught.I am WAY into cars.ALWAYS have been.My tyoungest son couldn't give a  about cars at all.Like Jim said,they are going to be who they are going to be.It's best that way.Gotta do your own thing.Be proud of him no matter what.Support his ideas,and love 'em hard.Right now,just give Momma a lot of love and wait on her hand and foot.I learned all that first hand.Worth every minute.

Congrats!

I have 3 |(now 18, 15, 15) and they just get better the older they get.  But now of them help me at all in the shop.  I'm just waiting for them to have something wrong with their car and I can say "take it to the shop, pay $75 an hour".  At least when they are a bit older and it's not my car.

I'm glad I'm past that point.  Really enjoyed them when they were young but I don't want to do it again.

thank you guys so much!  i really appreciate all of the good tidings and words of wisdom.  i'll definitely take all of them to heart.  i'm sure i'll make lots of mistakes, but i'll learn as i go.  i'm going to try my edest to be the best father and role model that i can. 


don't be too upset if i post random pictures of him every once in a while... i like to share.

My daughter at about 3-4 years old one day was mad as hell at me… when I asked her why she with something to the effect of  “I heard you beating up mommy and making her scream last night in the bedroom and I didn’t like it… your MEAN!” took me a minute to figure out WTF was going on last night?

Went right into the other room and told her mother “You need to talk to your daughter; I’ll let her believe I was beating on you before I’M going to tell her what we were doing!!” This is your job; YOU were the one screaming!
