Post by: woody76 on September 20, 2007, 02:55:31 PM
Hi.

After i completed the ho swap and driving it this summer. the car has started to stumble of idle, not much but very irritating.

Any tips on what this can be?

It could be a number of things. Have you scanned it for codes?

Weak points can often be the idle air control valve (IAC), the throttle position sensor (TPS), or a tune-up related issue.
I swapped the HO upper intake and throttle body onto my '88 XR-7 and had some slight idle issues after the swap.
I sold the car before I could determine what it was.

I've had more than one TPS sensor develop "dead spots" in its sweep, which can certainly lead to a stumble at idle.
