Title: I let the Bird out yesterday
Post by: 1BadBird on September 19, 2007, 09:24:13 PM
I took the Bird off the stands to move it outside so I could wash it's belly. It was in bad need of a good washing. Here's a couple of pics.

I love the way those Starion/Conquest wheels look on there. What bolt pattern is that?

No offense taken Vinnie :)
The turbo actually looks smaller in person. My photo taking skills are a little lacking. :D

Yikes!! I just took another look at that pic, man the exhaust turbine does look big.

I'm going to get it ready for paint then I'll coat the underside with bedliner stuff. I still have to smoothen the engine bay.  I'll need to mock up the engine/tranny for a test fit. I also need to clean and paint the engine and paint the tranny. Louis, you should come over some weekend and check it out

Sounds like a plan. I need to see how you're going to fit all that stuff under the hood:D

Louis, I'm usually not doing much on the weekends.  And yes, I'll be painting the engine Ford Blue, but the darker Ford blue.  PM sent too.

Thanks guys, I like the wheels too. Definitely different. I need to work on them a bit though. On another note, I want steam rollers on all 4 corners and with these 16s, the biggest tires I can put on are 255/50s. Those are 245s on it now. NOT BIG ENOUGH :D

Hi guys, Just a little update. I started working on cleaning the engine today. I removed the intake and found what looked to be the beginnings of a birds nest at the back of the valley. I'll be taking pics and posting them this sat.
