Title: turbo coupe electric fan clutch fan replacment
Post by: tbirdmanjwg on February 14, 2005, 12:48:41 AM
Hey you guys with turbo coupes converted to 5.0s, do the stock tc electric fans cool and work ok with a v-8? I've found a deal on e-bay for a tc fan set-up and was wonderin' if it's a logical thing to convert to... :dunno:

The TC fans won't work on a 5.0, motors are too deep. The left one hits the P/S pulley and the right one the alternator.

I almost won a bid on e-bay for a tc electric fan setup, and I'm very glad i didn't. There is however, a very nice electic fan for 5.0 mustang: 16 inches, 2600 cfm, and a compact powerful motor for $50 plus shipping . thats the item's buy now price, lots of em'.

yeah i wasnt sure if it was just me that tryed it or not, but i have the same radiator that hawlk has so its like 3-4x thicker than the stocker and i thought maybe that was the problem.
