I've noticed the latest catalogs of these parts warehouses are listing more and more Mustang crossover parts as actually fitting our cars right in the catalog. Everything from Headers to Oil Pans and Radiators to fuel injectors and suspension parts. T-Bird / Cougar is listed right in there with Mustang.
:D:D:D
Sweeeeet
Niiiccceee!!!!
look under camshafts under any year 5.0 cat or bird. 10+ pages.
I have to see it to believe it..............hold on a minute, where's my catalog?
It's been a long time coming. Although, not to slight those companies or anything, but they probably didn't list our cars before because of space limitations. I mean, honestly, you can't expect them to list EVERY Fox car for each part...the catalog would get too thick. ;)
But it is nice to be shown as one of the "main players" for the parts, instead of just the Mustang and the occasional Fairmont. Cool.
Eric, funny you say that. Why would you say the " occasional Fairmont"? Wouldn't out cars be more popular then the Fairmont's/Zephers?
Some people prefer the Fairmont/Futura/Zephyr for drag racing because of the shorter wheelbase and lighter weight.
Fairmonts are also lighter. A 2.3/4 speed 2door can be in the 2500 lb range. I think theyre also closest to mustangs when it comes to part sizes, like the rear ends and stuff.
This cam impresses me. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=CRN%2D449591&autoview=sku
For that price, I'd rather do up a custom cam though.....
every time I make an order between them 2 and mustangs unlimited I feel its just easier saying its a mustang cause you mention its a bird w/the wrong person who don’t now much there like I don’t know if it will work bla, bla, bla just send me the part.
I don't even tell them what it's going in. I just give the part # I need.
10-4,I'm not sure what my car is.
Can you imagine the talks they would have with co workers after they got off the phone.. thats funny as hell
Run a Stage1 TF with 1.7 rockers would be about the same... Which is what's in the works for the 331...
It's still a HO firing order cam.;)
Now if someone would make a performance roller cam for an E6 headed 5.0 with the SO firing order (yeah right) I might go out and pick me up an 87 or 88 5.0 Cougar..........
This one's been around for quite some time.

Pretty much an HO cam with more emphasis on the exhaust side.
That's a 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 firing roller cam? Hmmm I need to get me a 5.0 Cougar........
