Haha yeah!!!!! Alright glad that one could stay in the hands of someone on the boards!!!

Thats one sechsy cat. Whole thing is gorgeous. Good move, you're probably right in the sale thread...not like there's gonna be too many more chances to find one!

Im STILL waiting for that one to come back on ebay, that had like a couple thousand miles or something. Just to save the pictures/page. I remember this thing....it looked like a full resto had just been done. EVERY surface painted and shiny, even the underside! Spotless exhaust, everything. Couldn't believe it. Ad claimed it was only rolled around at the show ground, won trophies etc. Just wanna see it again.

Keep us updated, hope the trip goes well!!!!

I talked to a sewing shop in town and she said just get the seat cover off and the arm rest cover off and she can make it all good again.  I showed her the pics ,,she even quoted it to about 75 bux to redo the bad areas and  "dirt" match it to blend in the age.  I dono what dirt match means but it involves a die they use after the average color is scanned.

I have to say,, i am kind of excited.  This gives me motivation on my other coug "sylvia" so now im not in a huge rush.  This puts me back on the road with a cougar and i think that will make my work life a little more tolerable.  Me and the white coug have about 290k miles together and shes never really gave me much trouble.  The worse trouble is my pulling the 3.8 and piddling around with things that were well enough left alone.  I guess thats the way it goes sometimes.  Now with the trip up to ohio, the plans are to drive up on friday and wait around for the call to hook up at the way point.

I tried everything possible to not involve the wife in taking a road trip but it cant be avoided.  I even tried to do a one way rental but that would add up to a dollar per mile for the rental return fee.  Oh well.  We have friends up there anyway.  The wife will prob stay for a few days but im gonna have to boogie on down the road back home and head out on work stuff.

I'm just glad it's going to a good home. Hate to see Aaron getting out of the Cougars, but I suspect he'll be back.

Good deal J, I look forward to seeing it at Cat Jam next year. :D

BTW: While you're in Columbus, gimme a call and we'll have lunch. :)

well,,, she's mine:D

Im up here in Canton OH if anyone feels froggy and wants to see her.

cell is 360 389 6220

I have so much to say about this car, it exeeded my expectations.  You know how pictures make things look a little better?

well, this is a true instance where pics do not do this car justice.

the ride home went flawless.  Filled her up in canton oh and upon arrival in Gap Mills West Virginia, the fuel computer said i have 12 gallons remaining.  Not bad:D ,, actually its great.

Things i noticed after daylight broke and i offically got to look her over (Aarron- if you read this then you might be best to help)

Coolant was one gallon low.  Small puddle atop water pump.  ran very cool on the way home.  dont know if i lost any cause its late right now.  slight leak / drips but ill see more in the am.

Cruise control inop, i guess ill have to figure that out.

power door lock on driver side intermittant, no biggie

power seat driver intermittant, no biggie

some bulbs must be out on the dash, no biggie

EQ power button wont stay in, toothpick still jammed to hold it.

Instrument cluster dimmmer wheel has a bad spot, entire dash goes black if thumbwheel is placed in the max position.  This is rather intermittant as well and no biggie

A strange vac leak can be heard when i decel.  I step on the gas and the slight hissing goes away.  I step on the gas, hear a slight click and the hissing is gone.  Not sure if this is good, bad or indifferent but it may be associated to cruise because it sounds like it comes from the driver kick panel area

AC- with no hvac on at all, nothing is on,,, the air conditioning clutch will cycle on and off.  This seems odd to me so since its cool out right now, i just unhooked the presure switch connnector up near the heater core.

Squeek on driver strut or perhaps a bushing needs some lube

missing the 20th badge that goes on the dash, perhaps thats in the car or glove box.

radiator supports need some tweeking but no biggie.  for some reason the radiator doesnt look right,, like not the perfectly exact one for the car but it fits fine.

a slight rattle in the front end like its an inner tie rod perhaps,, dono yet.

HO conversion done , still SD.

Brand spanking new AOD transmission.

New tune up parts to include all you would expect.

fresh oil with wix filter

Under carrage is awsome

a couple very very odd outward dings and one small area on the rear driver quarter above tail light that has paint chipped off.  Recent damage i think cause there is no pitting , just surface corrosion.

smog pump is still on:mad:

Paint is sooooooo awasome as well as interior.

some cool stuff ford leaves in the car when its made/sold including window sticker

the biggest freaking diehard battery ive seen in a long time.

If i didnt mention it and its factory on a 20th, then it works. Apparently the only option i dont have is a moonroof. Perhaps that accounts for the blank i see next to the power antenna switch.

Im happy, the sale went exactly as planned and everyone held up to thier end of the bargain.

I may have trouble with registration.  Title is signed over to Aarron from the PO.  Aarron sells it to me.  My bill sale i made up transfers the car from Aarron to me.  DMV will likely give me hassle so well see how all this turns out.  Aarron did not get the car registerd in Mn so technically, if i keep my mouth shut , all will appear that i bought it from whom ever Aarron got it from and just dont bring up the bill of sale.

Sweet, I'm glad you got it and made it home okay.

The blank next to the power antenna is for the ride control available on TCs only. The moonroof switch would have been in a pod in the front of the roof where the map lights are on moonroof cars.

The hissing you are hearing probably does have something to do with the cruise control not working, the noise you hear in the kick panel area etc. There is a vacuum line that runs off the vacuum tree above the brake booster that comes inside the car for the cruise. It's the one in the C/C position. Maybe the line is cut or disconnected.

So far, not an ounce of trouble out of her.

I am missing the HO plate that goes on the intake but i just happened across a standard 5.0 plate today.

Gotta go get it registered tomorrow and calll the insurance company.

I also noticed the keyless entry does not work on the driver side.  The rod is not connnected to the key lock.  It looks like the door panel has been off but ill find time to investigate.  Its not like i dont have books on this stuff:D
