Title: Nicest Cougar I have seen.
Post by: cougrrr302 on September 05, 2007, 10:54:24 PM
I thought my Cougar was in great condition. 2 door dings, and minor overfueling problems are my problems.

A kid in a later part of the Auto Collison Program inherited his Grandpas 85 Cougar LS I think. Black with red striping like BlckNRedCougar's car. 3.8 V6 and only 40,000 original miles. This car is pristine. I only got one picture of it on my phone, and I didnt talk to him directly. I talked to most of his classmates.

Looks like an XR-7 badge on the sail panel. Definately sweet though.

Nope...it's not an XR-7.

They had the painted (blacked-out) window trim and mirrors and the 85-86 had the fog light bumpers.  That is not an XR-7 badge on the C-pilar....it's just a "std" Cougar.

No they had just aligned and recharged the AC. That car is flawless, just like the kids WS6 Firebird. And no its an LS, not an XR7, its a 3.8.

Looks like it is a nice car, however from the picture it appears that it is actually a GS.

It's missing:

the obvious giveaway that it's not an XR7 is the chrome window trim and mirrors.

OK GS, LS I know little of the differences off the top of my head. I bought an 86 LS, and it had all of that. I would trade my truck for that thing.

It's hard to tell from the photo but we'll take your word that it's nice. Bring digital camera next time. ;)

My "plain jane V6 car" picked up a nice third place trophy from a national show, its first time out. Beat out a whole bunch of V8 cars. Nice condition older 1980's cars...now that's something you don't see every day. Doesn't matter what's under the hood. There are probably twice as many excellent condition V6 cars out there than V8 ones.

My bad. I knew the '86s had black chrome, wasn't sure about '85s. It did look loke an XR-7 badge to me but what the hell do I know, I can't see shirts without my glasses.

Eric not to dis your cars, but I think this one is in the same if not better than your 84. I looked it over, it looks like it rolled out of a showroom. I only had my phone, it was during class...my bad.

It was in the shop again today, and Yes I did run to get my camera, but he had it out by the time I got back. I heard him telling people to not touch it, and that he keeps all of his cars clean lol. Im gonna talk to him and tell him to check out the site.
