Post by: Kitz Kat on September 02, 2007, 10:30:00 AM
Unhooked comes from the white connector thats attached to the intake.Any body know where it goes.the only orange wire on the schematic that I got says oxy ground but there hooked up.

please double check for a secondary color.

your o2 sensor does get an orange but that orange wire parallels off to actual chassis ground.  i suppose the branch will connect to the rear of each head.

Not on the 2.3t's they are bolted to the intake side of the turbo.

I looked at an 88 tbird can't tell where it goes unless I start cut her harness open,You know I think I need a carb.less shiznit in the way. This sucks when the valves aren't ajusted the first time right.Gota go put the cobra top back on.If anybody knows let me know.

Yeh Jim next to the big black one mounted to the intake.
I'm going to run some codes today. It's running real good.

I'm not sure if the wire coloring is the same between Mustangs and Tbirds, but here's what I have. If it is an orange wire, it is a o2 ground. If it's a orange/white, it is the feed for MAP, TPS and EGR.

I have o2 grounds coming out of the o2 harness to the heads.
I even unraveled the harness and theres no other orange wire to hook to.It could be a ground I never hooked up when I put the motor in,and happen to see it now.I'm going out soon and play with a few things.

I have the same thing. We've discussed it before.
It's like that on my '88 and was like that on an '87 Bird I grabbed the harness from in the yard.

Hmmm....Should this show a code?

I would think not if I have the right idea in my head.....See the pic below.  If that's correct, it will have no real effect on A/F ratio or open/closed loop...You might short something out though....Do I have this right?

Wiring was never a strong point with me.....trying to learn more and more.
