Right now I just have recent pics of the tailgate that Im working on in school, and a PS a buddy did of what my truck would look like laying frame.
Whoever paid to have the bedliner sprayed in got jipped. I pulled it off with a putty knife and pliers after removing the handle. The tailgate took a nice tumble when it flew off after hitting a bump(it was down, and a previous owner stretched the hinges). I got it all ready for primer. Next is cutting the inner center section to reverse the handle and smooth it. Im priming it all so it can be put back on until the kit arrives.
This is the disassembly process. In which I found out how easily the bedliner was to remove.
Pretty sweet daily driver
It's, uh, low:D
Thats a photoshop of what all of my classmates want me to do to it. I need to take some pics of it. I'll get flamed for what I did out of boredom, but it was an idea for paint. Pics up tomorow. I got another headunit for it. A 6.5" Pioneer In Dash DVD. It has to be sent in to Pioneer. I might sell it. Ive got a few ideas of where this truck is going.
GMC Syclone "tribute": Supercharged LS1, 6 speed, 4.10 posi, 20" Iroc wheels, Cowl Induction Hood, SRT-10 Style exhaust through the roll pan.
Opinions are very welcome. I sit and plan out all mods for all of my cars during and after classes.
O man that would be AWESOME!!!!
I gotta get current pics tomorow. I like the ride height it has, its factory lowered. Ive seen one with 20" IROC wheels, and it fills out the wheel wells nicely. As far as laying frame, maybe if I buy another. Cougar comes first.
Took these about 5 minutes ago. I washed it quick, its useless to wash it when I drive 100 miles on fridays back to KS. But I like it clean. Tailgate is still waiting for primer. I did a little takeoff for ya. That 4.3 has some torque, and no I dont dump the clutch.

The ghost flames are an idea for my upcoming paint. Im painting it in school in 6 months, and these are just a decal kit from Autozone, but seem to set off the truck quite well. Opinions are welcome about anything/everything.
needs an extreme front bumper, then they would flow better. Looks good, and please tell me thats not a 4.3 vortex. I hate those motors, my stepmoms jimmy is on its 4th.
Yep its a 4.3 Vortec. Stout little too. 130K on it, and my cousin abused the hell out of it. Runs great(probably from the 1k I put into parts), just needs a tranny flush. No on the extreme kit. I like it how it is, only thing I would do is put some chrome 20'' Irocs on it, and drop it so they fill the wheel wells completely.
Trust me I would rather have a Supercharged LS1 under that hood anyday. But for a 5 speed its the best vehicle Ive owned
Pretty nice little truck
The last few days, Ive been cutting up the roll pan to tuck exhaust tips. Tips are from an 02 Oldsmobile Aurora. Got it all fitting, and primed.(http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb105/cougrrr302/S10/Truck001.jpg)

You sound like every other stupid hillbilly that used to come into Autozone back in the day. "It gots one of them VorteX in it. Special made!" I would promptly say Vortec. They would correct me until I took them out to there vehicle and showed them the intake and lack of an X!!! Yet still being the idiots they were they continued to say VorteX. :punchballs: Kinda like you probably will.
I like the roll pan, looks good. Do I spy a 69 B body and a Corvair?
Yep thats a 69 Charger, a Corvair, there is another Corvair in the shop that is basically stripped, a 71 Malibu Chevelle, the SHO Taurus by the Corvair, an 89 Mazda B200(gonna be laying frame), 67 Camaro, 69 Firebird, and a 64 Cutlass. I'll get pics of those, but its not the topic of this thread. Since I cant have the Cougar up here yet(I NEED A PROCHAMBER, I NEED MONEY) Im working on the truck piece by piece.
thats not a 69.. more like a 72 charger ;) a buddy of mine is doing a resto on one
That's looks more like a 69 than the 72. If you look real close on the front of the quarter panel, you'll see body lines that were not on the 72.
I knew it was a 69 by looking ;) You can just make out the square marker light in the rear lower quarter panel ;) 70's had a different indentation on the quarter behind the door. 68's had a round marker light.
*puts on fake mustache so people won't know its him unleashing dodge info*
lookin nice man. you sure got some skill man. MHO Is a set of charcoal ghost racing stripes would go real nice on it.
I typed vortex but say vortec. My bad.
O and the roll pan looks great!! Good job!
looks good, i love the roll pan, i am also using Aurora tip for my exhuast on my ranger, but it points down at a 20* angle, and can barley see it.
which school are you going to?
i went to school for Collision Repair instead of my normal high school.
but i didn't stay in the field long.. wish i did, I'm just a Auto Tech.
looks good tho, can;t wait to see it finish, well, are our cars ever finished?????
heres a 69 note the different bumper, tail lights, quarters, and rear window:flip:
what little is left of a 69!
Thats a charger.. chargers are a breed of there own. The car in his picture is a Coronet or one of its sister cars.
Super Bee?
Coronet/Super Bee/Roadrunner/satellite.
But that is a Dodge. A 69 Coronet/Super Bee
nope thats a 70 notice the tailights.
Which one are we talking about. The one in Nathen's pic or the one Graham posted?
The one in my pics is a 69 Charger. I'll take more pics of the thing. I have to work on it, and its a documented 69. End of dispute.
Anyway. I got to Southeast Community College. Top tech school in the midwest.
Thanks for the nice comments. It took me two days of metal work. I fixed my nice dent in it. I have it back on the truck now in black primer. I need to fix the pass side tip its a little angled.
Clay-its getting a set of deep blue pearl stripes that mold into flames. Starting at the bottom of the grill up onto my soon to be cowl hood. Then the same on the tailgate. Im reversing the handle.
MORE PICS TOMORROW.
thats gonna look AWESOME!!!
I think they're getting mixed up.
There is a blue charger in one pic with two guys standing by it. That one is a post '70.

I need to put the tips on for a pic and edit out the stock exhaust, which is getting replaced soon, gotta get that flowmaster on there. And before I get flamed for it, yes I do have the exhaust its not on at the moment because of what im doing to the rollpan.
Looking good! Now you just need duels
Getting there. I need to go snap a pic with the tips on. It will get duals, not true duals, its only a V6 right now lol. But a single to dual flowmaster will sound nice.
yea thats a 4.3 vortec right? They sound OK with one flow, nice rumble. A y with two should sound nice
I totally missed the 69... I only saw the blue 72 sorry claude.
Need to work on the pass side still, angled a bit, but badass nonetheless. I need to clean up the flowmasters, and put one on, still trying to figure out how im running the exhaust.

That orange Charger on the trailer is a '70.In '71 the body style changed completely.'68,'69,and '70 all shared the same body with a different grille and taillights. In '70,the front fenders were changed to accomdate the loop bumper. In '68/'69,the fenders and grilles were interchangeable from each year. You could swap fenders and grilles, but in '70,you'd have to swap the whole front clip. The '68 did have the round markers on the side.In '68,side marker lights became mandatory on U.S. cars.I've had Chargers, loved them.
Reprimed my Rollpan after leveling the passenger side exhaust tip.
Installed my CAI yesterday. Had to make a bracket to support it, and not hit the inner fender. Ebay seller just provided a Zip Tie, not happening.

Now get the flowmasters in there, and take some burn out vids!!
HAHA. Oh yeah! I gotta clean the flowmasters. They wont go on for awhile. I gotta get that prochamber money sent and the exhaust on the Cougar. Burnout vids will come soon. I need new tires anyway
Hell yea! If they are gonna get swapped might as well cremate them!
Oh Yeah!
i wish the made a roll pan for the side sets that made the back step on the bed end at the end of the bed an laid flush with the tailgate... if the makes any sence.... more or less somethin that made it look like a standard bed with a roll pan
They do. Its the stepshaver kit. Its all fiberglass. Ive thought about buying it, but I like my steel rollpan. It was a hard decision, and still might happen somtime.
