Title: stock track width, and k member dimensions?
Post by: HAVI on August 27, 2007, 10:32:04 PM
I just got my 87 turbo coupe shell.  I just want to clarify:  Is the k member the same as the 3.8/5.0?  wheelbase is 104.2", track width is???

Yes, I'm pretty sure it's the same, only the motor mounts are different.

Word on the street is 86's had short control arm K members while 87 and 88 had the longer control arm K members.

For the K member, thanks guys.  I'm hoping to drop a v8 in where the 2.3 was without kmember changes.

I'll buy that, I'll see where my wheels line up when I put the ten holes on....if it stops raining.  .  This pic is what had me confused...I'm thinking it's mustang width?

No issues there...you'll just need the proper motor mounts...
