Title: Valve clearance
Post by: tireshredder on August 25, 2007, 06:32:06 PM
I just checked my piston to valve clearance on the 351W.  Its a 93 truck block with stock internals, heads(E7TE) and 1.7 roller rockers.  I came up with
exhaust: .430
Intake: .310
First time doing this, so is this normal?  Seems large to me, but...

Also, I'm using Playdough. Couldn't find clay at Wal Mart.

All I know is that it should be stock, for all thats worth.  Ordered it 3 years ago, ad didn't say, and it came with no papers.  I really jumped in to this without any reasearch, but I learned from that mistake.

I'm going to recheck it.  I was afraid to use all the bolts and only did one piston.  This time I'm checking the whole drivers bank.
