My driver-side door has been vibrating/squeaking while driving for a long while now and it's starting to get on my nerves. I imagine something on either end has come loose over time and use but I can't really open the door and check it while I'm speeding down the road. It mostly does it when it's cold outside. Can anyone give me a place to start?
Mine has done that twice.Once, the top rear corner was rubbing against the top of the car.You can tell by bare metal.Second, the door striker was missing the plastic sleeve and causing a squeak.
Hinge pins?
does the door close flush against the body? my car has the same problem(not very bad tho), i need to move the stricker, but im just too lazy.
Moving the striker is stupid easy. You could do it and align the door in ~5 minutes.
i didnt say i was retarted, i said its not bad enough that im worried about fixing it. i only drive about 6 miles a day. so its pretty tolerable.
Where do i find the plastic sleeve to replace my broken ones.
Dead threads alive! Just thought I should let everyone know, that new door striker bolts(With sleeves) can be found on the turnstile displays at NAPA!
