Title: Any of you pay to replace a quarter panel on your bird?
Post by: sum_weirdo on August 24, 2007, 09:54:52 AM
With winter on the horizon I'm scrambling to complete the projects I had planned for this summer.  Among them is to repair the rear quarter panels.  The worst of the two is totally rusted out down low and dented high.  I think it's technically salvagable but I'm beginning to wonder if it's worth the time and money, especially if I ended up paying a body guy.  Just wondering how much a garage might charge to replace the whole panel in one shot?

more than you want to know...especially when they stopped making quarters for these cars years ago.  If it were me, and yes my quarters are gone to rust hell, I'd work the dent out, cut out the rusted areas and form your own replacement sheet metal.  Or get a complete other car like I did.
