My Turbo Coupe has a damaged turbocharger, and I haven't had the time or money to do anything with it. I hope someone out there can save this one before it gets worse from sitting, or before I'm forced to get rid of it.
127,000 miles if I recall correctly. It has the hood & intercooler from an '87, a short throw shifter, Gilles boost regulator, and I had a new clutch installed. The clutch has less than 10,000 miles on it.
Here's the bad news: the car loses power when the turbo spools, so the T3 probably needs rebuilt or replaced. I have an IHI if interested. The passenger door is rusted out, but I have a replacement from an 85 that I would give away with the car. The brakes need work from sitting for a few months. The car has some dings from that hail storm a couple months back.
The interior is in good condition, the exhaust is fine, and it does run, it's just not driveable with that bad turbo. I won't rip the CD player out, either. I just REALLY DO NOT want to see this car get trashed, but I can't save it. Not sure what to ask for it, make offer.

that car need a good bit of work, but i think it's salvageable. you should be able to get a fair amount for it.
I want it...... but I can't have it..
How long has it been sitting?
Been sitting about a year. I drove it around the backroads a couple months ago, just doesn't have any power.

wow, that's a hell of a nice interior.
skippy it is. I'm kinda happy seeing the steering wheel too
Whats the under side look like? Rear quarters? How much brake work does it need? Hows the suspension? Are the shock towers solid?
Rust around the trim. The paint under the trim piece is peeling bad.
Towers inside trunk, and a pic of the underside. Underside has surface rust from 1 winter. The suspension is good, the car just looks lopsided because both the driver's side tires are losing air. As for the brakes, it probably needs new rotors, drums, & pads. They work, the car just jerks when they're applied, like the rotors are warped.
I was thinking around $500. Keep asking questions, & requesting pics. I don't want to misrepresent the car in any way.
front shock towers a a big thing.
Where are you located in Akron, I work at Firestone off of Main street. I could probably run over and take a look at it after work someday. I would be able to trailer it home, so the driveability wouldn't be a concern just yet.
