I bought these gauges for the T-Bird to do a custom dash. What do you guys think? I will post pictures and all that as I get them installed. The only problem I have, is not really a problem, but the temp and oil are not mechanical. They came with sending units. How do you guys rate mech. versus non-mech. Tell me what you think of the gauges too.

On 1985-up cars, it's much easier to run electrical gauges due to the electronic speedo signal. So I don't see that as a setback...probably better off, actually. Even older, cable-driven cars usually have a speedo option available in the aftermarket.
Those are pretty cool looking. Different...unusual to see them in a post-1949 car. ;)
neat looking set!
The ones that I got are actually black. I just did some measuring and these won't all fit unless I cut on the actual trim around the old face plate. Soooooo.....does anybody have a 1984 T-bird turbo coupe black interior trim piece for the gauge cluster? I kinda don't want to cut on mine.
I hope they will look good in there.

Yeah those look great
I don;t think anyone will just give it up to be hacked up. But I could be wrong.
I probably have an extra...I'll have to look
That would be great and much appreciated Chuck. Thanks.

would a cluster from an 86 bird fit in the 84?
. Then I will definately need the plastic face. I'd hate to cut on the original, but I will if I have to.:birdsmily:
