Not mine (sorry)...but it has been on eBay before:

Regatta Blue interior FTW!!!!!eleven!
, that's a nice car.
:(
Now thats a nice enough cougar i would take that over most T-Birds.
Couple of observations for those that might be considering the purchase:
- It is missing the trunklid cover panel, as all 1985-86 LS models had those. At least, it's missing in the photo. Would have to inquire about that.
- The CAR CRAFT badge is missing from the trunklid in the photo.
- The new weatherstripping needed...most of it is available through JC Whitney. BEARMAX just went through that with his convertible. I have part numbers for everything; shouldn't cost much (under $100 US).
- I broke my glass rear window also. It sucked. Having that small of a back window is definitely not good...you have absolutely enormous blind spots with the top up. If the roof cannot be repaired (tear) and has to be replaced, a larger back window opening CAN be created. That's exactly what I did.
- This car has the slip-under boot system like mine. Some of the earlier convertibles had the snaps on the perimeter chrome piece.
- Looks like the A/C system has been kept up. It's got an R-134 conversion at the very least.
- It has the fairly rare Regatta Blue high-series door panels. Gorgeous.
Overall...nice car. Wish I had room for one more...I'd be all over it. But here's your chance if you've been wanting one. Yeah, it's got the V6, but so what...the top goes down. ;)
hmmm, Hey Eric, I'll make a deal with you... I have PLENTY of room to store it.... you buy it, I'll store it, and put all the repairs into it. Just title it in my name, and we're all set! :D
BTW, my birthday is coming up soon... you love me, right? :D bats eye lashes
Nice car,too bad it's a 3.8L
, 200 in Illinois, I need a good car to paint here. That is PERFECT!
Hey Eric, if I bought it, would you go get it and hold it for me till I come down and pick it up? Seriously.
RJ...what the hell are you going to do to it? Weld a roof back on? LOL
I wouldn't have the means to go get it. I'd be honored to hold it here, for as long as necessary though.
I am SOOOOOO thinking about that car...
*all admins must own a 'vert*
Nope....
I need some more parts for mine
J/K:D
I
LIKE that rule. Pressure's on, Carm. :flip:
I'm in Illinois..........but I don't have that kind of money right now:hick:
sorry for the thread ping... but image chuck with a vert...
All i want that for is to steal the boot and the slip-under boot system, snaps = bad for clean design ideas.
You Know My Mom Is Going To Buy It
how many verts are owned by people on here? 3?
Just noticed something different about it: It's not a vent window car...
I think this car was for sale at Country Classic Cars some time ago. Looks like the current owner still has their tag surround.
Carm, do you have garage space?
I do indeed, Karl...
Back Off It's Mine
Yeah, it's yours, if you think it's worth more than I do. Guess we won't know until the last few seconds of the auction...
Eric,
I noticed that it doesn't have the decklid liner. Do you think this was removed by an owner at one time or did they not get put back on after moving the third brake light to the trunk during the conversion?
Does your car still have it?
Brent
:cougarsmily:
Yes, I have mine. At some point this one was removed for whatever reason.
Go Carm Go !!!!!!!!!
I have been doing some savings since some time. When i`ll finish my career and get enough money, trust me, really ; I`M GOING TO BUY A CONVERTIBLE, EVEN IF IT`S FAR FROM ME LIKE 3,000 MILES !!!!
I`m just hoping there are enough in the states. May be still there like 40 ?
Bear, you already have one man, let carm have it, share the wealth ;)
Nice car, Needs a little TLC.
Something looks funny about the quarter windows... Or lack of them? They fold up and down i assume?
Might want to make sure they are actually with the car still though.
I've decided against it. Kinda hard to justify another car, especially one that would cost me about $1k on top of the price of the car just to get home, when the house could really use new windows and a new roof, and the T-Bird still needs a whole lot of lovin'...
Juts not doable right now...
I know but my mom wants it not me..also she is the reason why i love cougars she has always had them and she has alwys wanted a vert and she fliped her lid when she saw i had one
..well i started fealing like backing off to let you have it but now you say you dont want it :beatyoass: ;) unless this is to throw us all off;)
Naw, man, go for it. As much as I'd like to have it, I just couldn't possibly take on another project. Hell, between the house (windows/roof/office re-do), T-Bird (body is finished but still needs paint and a little bit of everything inside), F-150 (needs tires, quarters and fenders), boat (needs EVERYTHING) and ATV (making a snowblower attachment) I've got enough projects to keep me going until I'm 80. I don't know where I'd even find the time to travel to Illinois to get the car, much less do any work to it...
Well if anyone would like to donate to the "kingcars needs another car" fund, I'd be thrilled! :D
Yea That Guy Is Nuts I Just Emaild About The Reserve Price That Dude Wants $7,000 For It What The Hell Is He Smokeing
Well, in that case you can DEFINITELY have it :hick:
No Thank You O My Good The Car Isnt Worth That I Mean My Car Is In The Same Shape And I Paid 2 Grand For It And Mine Is A Little More Rare Than That One
