Epson? I had a QX-10 for a while.... A real powerhouse, had 2 160k floppies, no HD, 256k main memory and a text only 10" mono monitor. All running under CP/M-86.  There was an optional 10M HD but it cost almost as much as the rest of the computer....

Yeah. I'm an old fart. :D

 thats cool Jim...

And I spent all day getting my old Epson up and running again, just so I could play :hick:(mostly had to find all the pieces)... It was cast aside and most of the boards and drives were used in a 386, then a 486... Luckly the boards have "Epson" on them so I know I mostly have the original stuff... Video card was swapped out years ago, dunno what happened to the orig...

The complete system... Bought it used from a computer guy at work in '92 for $500, was 4 years old... He was buying a new IBM 486...

VGA graphics, 40meg HD, 5 1/4 & 3 1/2" floppies... The 3 1/2" was only a 720K, up graded to a 1.44 a couple months after I got it... I was lucky and started higher on the chain than a lot of you guys... More like I couldn't afford a real computer till about then...

Yeah, I cheated on that too... Forgot to say it came with PC Tools, was easy to copy, delete, etc with just a couple mouse clicks...

That file management program looks strikingly similar to the one I used to use: Xtree Gold. I loved the "split screen" feature, which would allow you to look at two different drives or directories (they weren't called "folders" then) at once.

LEMMINGS FTW!!! My favourite "button" was the "kill 'em all" one. Get all of the lemmings out milling around, then detonate all of 'em

Here's a better shot... As I stated this is version 6, I have Version 9 on a whoppin 125MB HD I used to run in the 486...

There's a bunch of unnecessary junk in the root directory... I have win 3.1 on it but this old 286 doesn't have enough resources to run it... This baby has a whoppin' 640K of RAM...

And here's one of my favorites...

Just changed the computers car to a modded Tbird, last time I ran this game I was yet to even own a TC ... Sold the '86 Stang in '96...

lmao!!! thats great! My family used to run an old packard bell, then it was used to make another computer, and they both sucked ass. I remeber the old DOS games. I had a few back road racers was my fave. Cudas, stangs, all kinds of muscle cars, but once the new comp was built the game ran way to fast and you couldnt play it.

Wow that was a oldie... I had a Epson Equity-I picked up for nothing, but I sold it to a friend... It had 360 floppys, a 20 meg HD and CGA monitor... Oldest one ever was the IBM 4.77 with 360s(dunno maybe they are 160s, still have them they are huge) and a 10meg HD... Still have that motherboard, booted DOS 2.12 on it a couple days ago... As mentioned in another thread I'm going to rebuild it, I have a good generic XT case(has a 286 in it at the moment)...

Remember sharks, i dont have a screen cap of it but you were a little pixelated diver going for the chest of "treasure"  and had to avoid the sharks.
