Title: gear help needed

i'd like to swap out my ''highway gears ''for ''light to lights'', cant i just pull a stang housing for a quick fix? i have a 95 8.8 ,arent they 355's/375's? any help or idea's ?thanks:bowdown:

You can't just pull the "housing" out from a fox body mustang...you have independent rear suspension, the mustangs do not...unless you are pulling one from a '99 and up cobra...good luck...the traction-lok differential will work from a fox car, but will need to be machined to accept the ABS ring.

Call your favorite Ford Racing parts dealer and get some 3.73s for about $150. Should run a couple hundred to get them installed locally, Car will feel like it's lost 500 lbs and it won't kill your gas mileage too bad. Find a Mark VIII aluminum housing if you want to shed a few pounds while you're at it.

If you want to use a Cobra swap it needs to be 99 only. The later ones went to a 31 spline axle, yours is 29.

thanks guys. i WAS hopeing that it would be a quick fix,{lol}should have got the 87 when i had the money,thanks again
