The posting is wrong (I'm guessing an old guy did it) but it's definitely an '84...with 20,000 original miles. Ssssmmmmokin'!

Yup no horns in the engine bay.. not an 83. An NOT at all "fully loaded".
it is mint tho, its weird seeing a 3 year old car then mine and what a difference in look for the inside of the car lol
Yeah what a beauty though wowee
Take another look at the engine bay. That, is not a mint car (might be wrong on that). Outside of that, it looks great. I wonder if it really has only 20,000 mile, or 120,000 and well taken care of.
Read his vehicle description as well. What a salesman. "Lots of power". Has he ever driven a stock cougar?
Interior looks awesome from the pics though.
Eeets Niiice!
 24 years of pure sweetness lets keep the good times rolling :cougarsmily:
That car has more than 20,000 miles on it. When the speedo miles don't "Line up" like that it has rolled the 100,000 mark. Mine is like that too. :birdsmily:
Good catch! The car looks like a well taken care of car... but $6k??
Instead of rolling the mileage up they figured somebody would be stupid enough to fork over that kind of $$ HAHAHA

Agreed, Mine as well
( Sorry for the old pic, I can't find the camara cord)
EW, Does that mean i probably have 200k instead of 100k?

Why, They don't line up perfect so it could just be 130,313.8K. You really don't know. I thought for sure my car only had 43K on it when I got it. I did the carfax to find out it had 143,xxx on it.
The first digit is lower than i usually see them.
Yea i need to do a carfax here at some point, They have like 5 records for my car apparently. :hick:
yea I didn't realize but that picture of the miles doesn't have a 100,000 digit :S... So it must be lieing for sure and has 120k lol. Also the engine has seen better days, but I will take the seats of that car :-p
Forget the seats.... I'd take the WHOLE INT while I was at it:beatyoass:
who ever buys this cougar better get it checked out :cougarsmily:

Dude, thats funny
:birdsmily:
:( don't you just hate it when the truth comes out about these cars. :hick:
I wonder if theres a way to roll back your miles with the digi .... I know the trick with the non digi but never messed with a digi...
:dunno: thats the "1 million" dollar question ?
As you can see from my original comment, I noticed something fishy right away. The way the engine bay looked just didn't seem right to me from the start. I am no mechanic, but I have had more than my fair share of cars that went past 100,000 miles. I also noticed, but did not mention the fact that it did not have a 6th full digit for miles as well. My yellow 86' is the first car I have ever owned that came with a sixth digit for miles, the last digit is always a tenth mile so it's not a full digit.
Hmmm...well...the interior seems to be in nice enough shape. The body, it's hard to tell with white. The engine bay seems to be the key to the mystery...it is really rusty in all the usual places on a higher-mileage car. I'm thinking if this original woman owner was "wealthy" enough, as the seller states, she'd have owned a Lincoln, not a Cougar, and would have had this car in a garage all the time. The way it looks now, the car has been outside for a looooooong time, has been driven in the rain (possibly the snow), has been allowed to sit for a while...none of this is good. The odometer does seem off. This seller would have to provide some really good documentation before I'm convinced. It's still a very nice car from the looks of it. But probably not worth what's being asked, and perhaps it's being misrepresented. Buyer beware. ;)
:iagree: this car needs a good home or somebody who can just buy it to tinker around on. :sawzall:
My car has 119,000 miles on it now. Guess it's time to throw her on ebay! :hick:
:headbang: I hope your cougar didn't hear you say that cause if it did you might just get struck by lighting.
Look closely in the first pic just in front of the rear wheel underneath the side trim.....rust spot. The engine bay has seen better days as well. I'm guessing if those pictures were taken in more direct sunlight you would see more of what's going on body-wise with the car. Also, what's with that stray red wire on the right side of the engine bay?
Posi Batt cable... Of which looks clipped?
