Title: 1996 Mustang Rearend into my '88 XR-7
Post by: 1WLD BRD on August 15, 2007, 01:57:06 AM
Ok I have a line on a Mustang diff from a 96 Stang, (5bolt/ disc brakes) but it has ABS.  Can I use it in my Cougar with out swapping out the ABS  from the diff?  I would assume I could but I wanted to ask you guys before I buy it and throw it in.

Should bolt right in ron, just remove the sensors ans leave the tone rings on the axle.
Your gonna use the rear disc right???

Yep, that is why I am going with that diff, for ease of disc brake swap.  I think it is actually from a 95, but samething.

Then use the spindles and hubs up front.  This may be later down the road though, after we get the rest of the stuff done to it. ;)

And Alex.....  I would be in jail for murder, if it got rearended, because I would kill the idiot that did that to this car.
