Thanks for the heads up. I've read countless descriptions on these cars where the seller claims it has "every available option" and I've called some. It's amazing how convinced these people are that they have every option when they are missing several significant options. Salesmen back then must have been very good liars and customers must not have read any brochures.
This one may be loaded but I've seen countless descriptions just like it that aren't the truth.
Nothing against the post, again. Appreciate you letting us know about it. I just get hung up over half-assed and b.s. ads.
*watch, this will be the first one that actually is loaded* ......but you all get my point.
Wow two of em in just a few days. Crazy! If I had all kinds of money Id make a trip to NYC and get that 44k mile-er. Man Id love to own one of these with low miles...I dunno I just want to be able to say yeah its 20 years old and as under 50k :D Oh well!!!
There was one with 17K miles in Houston some lady was trying to sell on here in the winter. The fact that she couldn't get $6k for it made her decide to give it to her teenage daughter.
I question everything about that post. I think it's all BS. Two of us that I know of tried to contact that "seller" and got more BS.
I talked to her. She sent me pics and everything. Maybe I have a way of sweet talkin'
oh !!!! you should post em up id looooove to see that thing!!!!
Yeah...when I tried talking to the lady from Houston, I got NO reply whatsoever!
...and I talked real nice and sweet, too! Not fair!

These were the only pictures. I still have her email address.
I was talking about the ones she sent you. The ones in "her" thread barely qualify as pictures, let alone pictures of a car.
I was wrong. I was thinking of the pictures on her post.
We did email a few times but no pics.
Shucks.
Yeah, we emailed too. She ended every email with "so how much we talkin here?" I think someone was looking to buy a 20th for a low price and hope to resell it at what we were willing to pay or use us as a gauge of what they could fetch on ebay. If not that than something else was going on. Definitely something other than what was told to us.
After rereading her emails, I really think she thought it might bring $10-15K. When I told her she might get $3-5K she didn't think it was worth selling. I mean I never saw it for sale again, and I was lookin' for Cougars.
I suspected that this person saw a 20th in someone's front yard for sale, or at a small time dealer for sale that wouldn't be listed anywhere online for maybe say, $3500-$4500 and was thinking, "hmm, wonder if I could buy this and turn a quick profit?"
So before buying it, they made up the BS story to see how much we would pay (hoping for maybe a lot of $8K to $10K) responses before this person actually bought it. Otherwise, there wouldn't have been the extreme urgency to get a figure from us.
It was probably just put up for sale and this person had to act quick to determine potential profit before committing to it. We were the best source to gauge what may happen either here if he posted it or at ebay.
The pictures sucked, and for someone savvy enough to find our board, join, and create a thread, they probably have access to a computer, a digital camera, or know someone with a digital camera. Those pictures probably came from somewhere else.
Sounds feasible.
