what could be wrong with my 5.0 im thinking plug or wire...i had to replace valve cover gaskets and lower and upper intake gaskets so i removed dizzy pyut it back in got it timed right runs like complete ass just major idle surges and black smoke smelling of unburned gas and regular exhaust fumes...havent a clue whats going on gaskets are on right everything torqued to specs injectors are fine just runs like  shakes the whole car when idle drive it around and surging at about 1/4 throttle its really irritating someone give me some insights....

check to make sure your plug wires are in the right places

have you checked to see if any of the plugs got fouled

id guess a disconnected/bad vacuum line/hose.

im going to check vaccume line running to pressue reg and check the plugs in the afternoon...backs sunburned and blistered from replacing the other gaskets i wish i had a garage

THIS CAR IS A TOTAL PILE OF SH*T.....i repair 2 vaccume hoses now it dont run at all.........

I mah have missed something, but did you "tune" your car to run before? If so you may have to re-tune it to run corractly. As I was going through my CFI... I had to retune and correct MANY things, MANY times.
 
Also, on a blind guess, is it possable that you put the dizzy back in 180* out?

ennd of coil snapped off need new coil dont ask how it broke off it did though.......found more dryrotted vac hoses fixed them charged batt new coil now i need to do minor timing tweaks *apoligises to his tbird*

ok got timing set and cleaned plugs and IAC runs like a champ now
