Title: Check this out
Post by: atariman on August 10, 2007, 09:43:45 AM
This is the SECOND valvebody that summit racing sent me. The first one fried my forward clutches and steels, this one, the selector spool wouldn't even move! Not to mention the rest of the rust on it....This is a performance automatic valve body, $209, full manual reverse shift pattern. Just thought I would show you guys this. They are supposed to next day air me a THIRD valvebody for saturday. I have not driven my car due to this issue for 3 weeks. It is getting old. Has anyone else had this problem with performance automatic? Prolly not as I am always the lucky one.....

Not brand new, but newly refurbished....and it looked like that out of the plastic paperback it came in. Are they someone else's returns? Probably, keep sending them out that way until someone lies down and fixes it and replaces that parts that are bad. I am going to send those pictures to performance automatic and tell them they fried my transmission and see what they say. Just for $h!ts and giggles....I'll keep you posted.

That sucks bad.I'm having a tranny guy in the next town over build my valve body for me.$75.00.Great guy,and he builds most of the race prepped trannys around. Not a bad deal.
