Kinda sounds like the added load to the motor is enough to drag it down and kill it. I'd tell you to check your Idle Air control motor. Take it off and look into the holes in the IAC and look for black carbon. If any thing hose it out real good with carb cleaner.

the additional load could be defined as an ac compressor becoming more worn than specs will allow requiring more engine rpm range to keep the engine at idle.  Im pretty sure you dont have problems at higher rpms other than it might feel sluggish at moments when you "feel" the compressor clutch kick in.

to verify it is the ac causing it,, disconnect the presure switch on the big round thingy up near the firewall.  its a two pr0nged thingamajic screwed into that big round looking canister.

just unhook it and verify that is the cause of the engine stall situation.

engine only stalls when i have AC on when its off runs fine besides a little idle fluctuations but im pretty sure the IAC is dirty because the butterfly and all inside of the TB is dirty....

My car used to do that...even with the HO...until I swapped in a 130amp alternator.
