Ok in Thunder Chickens "Money no Object" thread I found myself at a loss. he states
"The only rule: You must do it to a fox Bird or Cat, preferably the car you have now."
Sorry all you die hard Fox bod lovers but for me if "Money was no Object" then the only thing I would "Do To" the Bird I have now is I'd leave it laying along side the road someplace with the title in the glove box and post the address here for you guys to help yourselves.
So to not break his rule.. a new free for all thread “IF Money was no Object”
THIS is what I’m talking about.. this thing is so shagy I get a woody just looking at the pictures of it. Actually shagy is an uderstatement this would be better than shag. At a modest $450,000 each I would get two because at 617hp and a modest 575 lb-ft torque I’d probably wreck the first one.

not a fan of the front end of that car.
Then you're not doing it right.....;)
Ok, well, since it's a 'free for all, money is no object' thread... I want this:
I know it's a guzzler, but if I had all that money, I could afford it! Besides, the whole family can fit in it! LOL
Of course, here it is as a regular pick up...with a person beside it so you can see the actual size:
lol, THAT's what you call "regular"? (Actually 17mpg is better than my F250 @ 10-12mpg!!)
as for the front end on the SLR, that what I like about it, so sleek and swooped down, yet still says Mercedes, Like the designer just grabbed a clay Mercedes model and slid it out onto the table..wow!!
and Chuck, lol :flip:
I've always thought the snout on that SLR reminded me of the wicked witch of the west. I really don't like the new Mercs.
My dream would be a full 50acre garage.
I have and never will like the SLR, just like I dont like the 05+ stangs or chargers. But hey personal opinion. I dislike alot of newer cars. Those trucks are freaking huge! That F650 gets the same gas mileage as my Escape does in town, that messed up! I guess mine gets 23 on the highway, but still.
Here si only one of the cars id buy if money was no object
(http://
Here is the other
(http://
There are more but im with oldraven I would need a really LARGE garage
Click for info

Ah, a Toyota 2000GT :)
But my car would be a '70 Cuda Hemi Convertible with a pistol grip 4-speed. 'Nuff said. After that would come a 66/67 Fairlane 289 or 351, 4-speed, possibly 'vert.
Hey 88SuperCoupe, I just realized you only live about an hour from us. LOL
Yeah ill take the stang camaro or that truck the mercedez is pretty nice
This one would have to come with me 2..
(http://
No newer Mustangs for me. The only newer cars I would own: GTO, Challenger, 03 Cobra Mustang, Chevy Silverado SS AWD. Newer cars do nothing for me. I am into classic muscle cars. Empty shells with a big block. New cars have all this "power" but where does it all go? Into pushing all of that electronic gear they cram inside of it. Why not gut a new car and throw in a carbed motor, then I will consider it. Not all of this GPS, heated seats, and sensors for God knows everything.
Bleh Mercedes are for "high class" elitist assholes as are BMW and Audi. But f money was no object i would want a Cyclone Spolier and i would want to find my grandfathers original 1967 cougar 289.
i want a 04 cobra coupe with a built motor and a kenne bell
my stang done up
a 69 boss 429
66 galaxie or fairlane i forget which one
i could go on for days.
most importantly id need a understanding wife and a huge ass garage and a bank account to feed the beasts!
I would choose a Tesla Roadster. Teslamotors.com
I have a fascination with Supra's... *Waits to get flamed* :flame:
But less than 9 second 1/4's on the factory engine with mods? Crazy. :hick:
you got some taste.
i dont have a picture of the car that i want to build b/c they're few and far between. most of them stay looking stock.
but i want a 1981 chevy malibu (last year for that car, the nose lived on with the 81+ el camino's) solid boxed frame with both front and rear clips. stock car spec cage, tweed interior with some bells and wistles like power windows locks mirrors tilt steering. i'd make the dash out of sheet metal, anodize it and install autometer guages. btw dt is 383 5spd 9in rear lsd. as for the suspension.. custom (why im ganna take a geometry class for an elective. i've seen the majority of the malibu's doing 2 foot wheel stands from a hard launch in drag racing. and on the circle track they're the most balanced and well rounded cars out there. THAT is why they're kinda raring up like our birds and cougars. last time i went to DIRT, i saw 2 birds. both were pre87 but one had the 87-88 plastic nose, one running a tuned 302 the other a detuned 351 (same class) the 351 would get bogged down in the corners and it eventually started to break while the 302 was higher in the rpms at the bog point so he did pretty well.
my car? 1981 chevy 383 malibu hobby car for the street. pullin out ALL the stops and no short cuts.
Save some of the fire for me as well im with Romeo2k Ive always loved the supras as well..
They made Malibu's until '83. Just not with the 305. My parents had a 305 4-bl 4-dr. It felt like a rocketship when I was a kid, because my parents had previously bought two new Chevettes. :hick:
I still want a second Generation Corvair Monza (and a Corsa to keep stock) with a Buick Turbo-six in the back seat.
lol, I want an 85 Mercedes 500 sec converted to Pro-Street, and the Audi I had was $200.....not quite high class, lol. but I'll take the top one(Dodge Charger prototype that was never put into production), and the motor for my bird.
I assume you are refering to me.
That is the second car i would buy. I LOVE the looks of all supras(all years , I had an 85 that needed a lot of body work) i would even buy a N/A one just for the looks, if i had the $$$
1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder
(http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/93/SC06_1958_Ferrari_250_GT_California_Spyder.jpg)
"Camrin..... you killed the car"
Having worked for MB for 20 years I had the pleasure of being around alot of high line cars but for the SLR performance I would rather have a SL600 bi-turbo. Performs just as well at a fraction of the price. I remember the first SLR our dealership sold for over 600K. The salesman recieved a healthy commision(rumor was near 50K) and I passed the car on I-95 heading home on a flat bed. I would imagine it still has next to no miles on it. If it wasnt the SL600 bi-turbo then I would take a Lambo
99-02 Nissan Skyline GTR
(http://farm1.static.flickr.com/116/291099265_d23df29432.jpg)
I'd love one... but it would have to be a Nismo Z tune;)
If money was no object I would want a Mercury Cougar 1969
Stock Settings:
428 V8 335 bhp @ 5200 rpm, 440 lb-ft @ 3400 rpm.
Performance:
428/335: 0-60 in 5.6 seconds, 1/4 mile in 14.1 seconds @ 103 mph.
Fastest Cougar out of the stock ones.
Next I would want a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS
COPO 427 V8 425bhp@5600rpm, 460lb-ft@4000rpm.
Performance: COPO 427/425: 0-60 in 5.1 sec, 1/4 mile in 13.3 sec @ 108mph.
When I get both of these cars, my collection is set :D I will beat anyone with my chevelle :D :D And also be able to drive a smooth ride in the cougar :D :D
skyline and supras are the few tuners id own, rape any american car stock to stock
(http://www.supercars.net/carpics/3175/2005_Ferrari_FXX1.jpg)
Mmmmmm.... Ferrari...
Screw you all. I want one of these.
Maybe at the time. You can't say that anymore. These cars are ten years old now.
I was looking for a MKIII Supra when I stumbled upon the TC.

Either one of those! BOSS 429 Cougars!
The rarest of the BOSS 429 Cars.
Ford did indeed commission Kar Kraft to build two white Boss 429 Cougars in 1969, one for "Dyno Don" Nicholson, and one for "Fast Eddie" Schartman. Dyno painted his red and dumped the Boss engine, replacing it with a SOHC. Shartmans yellow and blue Cougar was updated with a 1970 front clip and retained the Boss 429 engine. While these Cougars were built by Kar Kraft with Boss 429 engines, they did not carry the tell-tale "Z" Boss engine code in their vin numbers. Knowing they were destined for drag strip duty, Ford did not bother changing the R-code Cougars over to Z-codes as they did with the Boss 429 Mustangs. Ford sold these Cougars to the two drag racers for ONE dollar each with the agreement the cars would be returned to Ford (for a date with the crusher) after they were done racing them. Surprisingly, neither one made it back to Ford. They were briefly in the spotlight, being raced by big-name drivers Nicholson and Schartman, and then they were sold off and forgotten like so many other old race cars. Both cars are supposedly accounted for today. One of them turned in a Mustang & Fords magazine Rare Finds article several years back, relieved of its floor pan. A great article on these cars was on competitionplus.com, but has since been taken down. Read it here, less photos.

This guy right here. Only five originals were built but a kit car would be fine with me with that money is no object thing stretched to the limit. You know roush V8, Brembo gran turismo brakes, IRS, six speed. MMMMMM
A kit would be the ONLY way to go... as I have said before about the Cobra Roadster "anybody would be a fool to drive a real one on the street" so to have a real one would be a waste... not to mention the "real" ones handel like . Cost wise however a replica however is within reach for any of us.

My dream car:
Only acutally finished
i was on the way to a friends wedding on saturday. my wife and i were cruising down 50 hwy in the middle of bum fu@k missouri, when i saw a silver slr go cruising down the opposite direction. i near gave myself whiplash trying to turn around to watch it. after seeing it in person, i retract my earlier statement... that's one shagy mofookie.
Probably the Jaguar XJ220
http://www.seriouswheels.com/pics-jkl/Jaguar-XJ-220-Silver-Australia-1280x960.jpg
that was my favorite car for a looooooong time. it still ranks pretty darn high.
My fav new car would be the Porsche SUV with the turbo. O man i saw one once siting at a light, they sound so sweet, and this guy just MASHED it after it turned green. Thing just took off!
