how much do they actually help?
Firmer shifts less slippage, less were on the clutch packs.
so how much will it help in the 1/4? like .05
.05 maybe,You can sneeze and lose 1.0
so do you think it is worth the money to get?
I take it your askin me. when I started buiding my car I was like you,I went thru 2 trans witch don't mean much, there junk.Had one built with performance parts not cheap but still workin.HP is exspensive! you have to know what you want.Once you do one thing you need to do another. Why not put the kit in? go transgo.don't waste $$ on B+M junk.
that go's for the tourqe converters to.
do i need a new torque converter if i get a shift kit?
No
Probably won't decrease et any at all, but it will make the transmission last much longer in severe duty such as racing...
I Installed a Trans-Go kit in my 45K mi Super Coupe tranny in early '00, It's still hanging in there...
ok cool! thanks for the info! its greatly appreciated!
