i need some help on this one on drivers side right where the ebrake is the insulating padding is soaked been leaking for some time it looks like also carper to the left of the rectangle plastic peice molded into carpet is wet were in the world could this be leaking from.....i dont think its the boot that goes from door into the body because theres no water in there any major leak points i should check or what.....
What about the hood release grommet that fits into the body.Get under there with a flashlight and have someone spray the area with a hose and check. You may want to get under there and look around everywhere with a light while someone sprays all over that area.
ok ill try that thanks for the quick reply my cable is just hanging there because the plastic broke off still works but ill try that if anyone else has some ideas let me know :) thanks again still dont think its the grommit because of its wet on the side of the ebrake....
The grommet for the hood release is right behind the e-brake on the firewall, inside the fender area.Drench the car good to check for the leak, like a heavy rain, give it a little time a watch close. If you need to,pull your kick panel off and check there as well.Good luck.Post your findings when you're done.
Ditto on the hood release grommet. That's where mine was leaking from.... Changed it and now the carpet stays dry.
yep that was where it was leaking thanks for the help
