Well, I kept this a secret for ohhhh....5 months!!
Yes, back in February we bought a 1997, 30th Anniversary Cougar!
We only told Eric and Gary about it, and then a couple of weeks ago, we told Ric.
I was pretty excited about it. So, now Royce isn't the only one with a 30th! YEAHHH BAYBEEEE!!!:D :D
Is that a Sage Green vent-window cat in the background? :hick:
The 30th looks clean.
Yes that is a sage green with vent windows. That was a very sharp color. Rod
Gee, nothing like a thread high jack. :p
Thanks for the decal pic Karen, that was very cool. Nice cougar too.
I hope Karl got the engine back together and got it home. :(
EDIT: opps I said Vic, I meant Karl with his Sage green cat.
Sorry ,just thought I'd answer his question.
lol, no problem man.
Thanks RJ.... I can't wait to see the picts of it.
After three years of being without a Cougar (and yet, STILL making it to Cat Jam and tirelessly helping out with the auction, baking, etc.), it was soooooo cool that Karen and Roger were able to debut their car and be part of Cougar ownership again. I was sworn to secrecy and kept my promise. It's a beautiful car and I sure hope it serves you and the family well, Karen. Congratulations again!
Nice car Karen, congrats. I still love the 90's kitties quite well. I'm assuming I'll be able to see it next year. I wanted to see Eric's new cat and Carls's green one, but I couldn't be there. Hope everyone had a good time.
Nice lookin car congratss...
Sorry Karen :hick:
So when are you going to get a 20th to go with the 30th? ;)
Yes Victor, you will definitely see it next year!
Mike, my oldest son just made a deal at Cat Jam to by a 20th Anniversary, so he should have it at Cat Jam next year. He is passing the 84 on to our younger son, and if all goes well, it will be there next year too, although the younger son won't be driving it, he won't yet be 16 at that time.
i cant wait to go next year.
Are those Taurus wheels?
I'll be picking up a 40th Anniversary Cougar next week...
;)
LMAO! Sure you are. ;)
Yes, they are Taurus wheels. They look rather nice don't they?
We swapped them off our Taurus because we liked the look of them better than the ones that came on it to begin with.
Do you all realize how hard it was to keep this a secret from everyone? LOL
That's not exactly the story I heard. ;)
But they do look good.
Here you go Karen:

Thanks RJ!
Mayhem... umm....yeah, I guess I forgot to mention the "we needed good tread for inspection" LOL But, we really did like the rims better.
Sorry Karen. I told my car "bad kitty!" for being in the picture. (Although, the two colors do compliment each other.)
Congrats on the purchase. I am really happy for you. You and Roger deserve it.
Sweet :D . I've always thought the 96-97 Cats were the best looking of the MN-12s. So is it a V8?
Hangs head in shame.... no it's a 6. :( lol
You are right Karl, they do compliment each other nicely, that color of green is awesome! And I really loved what you did with your accent paint.
We got some really good ideas while at CJ. I liked John's idea for doing the headlights (someone else had theirs done the same way). I think Roger might go for that.
Your car is definitely beautiful, Karen. Someone as stunningly radiant as yourself really needs a car that can compliment them like yours does for you! :D
Like I said at the 'Jam, I am VERY impressed with your ability to not only keep your acquisition a secret, but at the same time you were able to convince me that I HAD to bring my 30th, but not tell me why! Kudos!
We really need to get a photo session of our two together next year!
Awe, thank you Royce.
I know, I wish we'd have done a photo of them together this year, I didn't get a chance to take many pictures. Definitely next year though!
