Well, ok its not new, but it is back to original.  I must say, I don't know why I changed it in the first place....

you could always mount one under the dash or elsewhere and still leave that one there.

You can do what I did.I installed a 10 disc CD changer in the trunk under the package shelf. Can't even see it unless you know what you're looking for.

Gotta say I'm HAPPY with my casette deck. Good ol' tape-with-a-wire-coming-out-of-it hooked into my Sansa MP3 player does the job good enough for me!

How much is a 10 disc cd changer? How would it work with my radio?

I have no idea on the cost but I think you would have to buy a deck. Maybe look at some of those hidden dash radios that I see company's selling for older Mustangs and various muscle cars.

I like the look of the stock radio, it gives it the polished factory look.

Close, its an 84. I'm thinkin it is one of the super basic models as it only has power mirrors on it. Manual everything else. Even manual lumbar. The ORIGINAL original radio had black s, but as I was young and ignorant, I threw that one away. I got that from the junkyard yesterday.:D  That radio came from an old cougar lynx.

It may seem strange today, but the standard radio in a base Thunderbird in 1983-84 was just an AM radio (which could even be deleted for credit). An AM/FM radio was an option.

Boy, they came a long way in just a few years. I actually like the way my radio looks and this has prevented me from getting some py looking aftermarket radio - even though mine  me off often (left channel cuts out on right turns, led's light occasionally - when they feel like it).

MAN! Eq and everything huh? I can't hear the radio most of the time anyways, so an eq would do me no good. It would take alot to make my radio heard, but then that would drown out the engine noise, and well, there  ain't no tune that beats the sound of a rumbly engine.

My 84 Turbo coupe came with one that looks more like Cougar5.0's but it had s for the bas and treble. It looks many years ahead of the stock pos one. I did drive a t-bird/cougar along time ago with a factory am/fm/CB in it. I think it was an 85-86 model

I'm in the Southwest corner of the lower peninsula. My city name is Dowagiac, but I live in an area about 12 miles from there called Sister Lakes (named for seven lakes that are grouped together). I am about 35 West of Kalamazoo and 26 miles North of South Bend, IN.

It has been the last few days, but not too bad really. A griend of mine moved to Georgia a few years ago. He says he now knows what real humidity feels like. ;) Our area has been very dry this summer, I just mowed the lawn for the first time in over a month.
Do you like Colorado? I've visited about a third of the 50 states and I think Colorado is probably my favorite. My wife & I have talked about moving there on more than one occasion. But I think I would miss not living close to a large body of water (Lake MI). Is it less humid there in the summers? What part of CO do you live now?

I saw one with a cassette  deck in the yard yesterday. Looked just a little bit more high tech than mine did. But I didn't want the tape deck as it didn't come with the car.
