actually i think gumbys right my car has the same tank as the sport but my dad said the turbo coupe one is different.
i dont know for sure

I know my manual says 22.1, and Ive put 19 or maybe 20 in it before.

So the Sport tank is bigger? Sveet, I'm swapping for longer range (hell I go 300+ miles on the stock tank as it is).

Dude! I wish I got that kind of mileage! I only get about 200 or so with mine..... no air in colorado....yeah...:punchballs:

I still can never fit more than 16 gallons in from empty (and low fuel lit) to full...in a Sport that has stayed 100% stock prior to me getting it. Still gets me up to 500 miles on one tank though. Daily driven to and from work is usually 350.

1987-88 Turbo Coupe manuals, I believe, listed the tank at 18 gallons but they really have 22.1 gallon tank. It was only the earlier 1983-86 turbo cars that had the 18 gallon tank.

All 1986-88 V6 and V8 cars had 22.1 gallon tanks.

All 1983-85 V6 and V8 cars had 20.6 gallon tanks.

This is all confirmed...one of the few things on these cars that IS confirmed too.
