Title: the turbo is really dead
Post by: dudeman351 on July 24, 2007, 02:39:14 PM
well i pulled the front sheetmetal earlier and found some rust in the strut tower. not too bad but with the accident damage and it looks like the k-member is tweeked i think i'm going the 87-93 turbo mustang route. its a shame but another one is going to the boneyard but not before i pick her clean.

You've still got one at least.

You could always cut off all the front substructure at the firewall and add a frame.

dug into it somemore last night. found rust in the rear pass side framerail and both framerails in the front not to mention a 2" round hole in the firewall. the bodyman next door said we can fix it but the rust will come back. so 87-93 5.0 mustang coupe w/5 sp it is. give me the ho and 5 sp for the sport and have the 11" brakes already and the 8.8 so the turbo motor should make it a rocket ship. i guess the first thing i'll do is put the 4 wheel discs in the sport. also i'm going to try to adapt the hydraulic clutch into the mustang. shouldn't be too hard i already have everything i need:D
