Title: Intermittant miss
Post by: beej8508 on July 21, 2007, 12:12:49 PM
I just put in a new turbo (T3) in my '83 turbo coupe.  Since then it has an intermittant miss.  When the engine is cold, it runs perfect but when it reaches operating temp, the miss shows up.  It loses power and back fires but never stalls.  If I stomp on the gas to kick in the turbo the miss clears up...then reappears again.  It's getting terrible gas mileage and the tail pipe is black.
It idles perfectly all the time.
I have replaced:
TPS, distributer cap, rotor, spark plug wires, sparkplugs, temp. sensor

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is running way rich... I'm not familiar with the turbo's, but I would start looking at vacum lines and your map sensor.
