Hows it going guys!! Havnt been able to pick any parts from the cars yet, and the local JY is a py one...they crush 95 back, so no goodies there. Found one that had a 88 mark 7, and yep fenders and trunk was rotted like mine, but they are pulling the fuel lines for me, if they turn out to be not rotted. Theres also a 5 acre yard i have to check out. We at staying in Johnstown PA outside altona(sp?) right now im in parsons WV at my relatives visiting, which is why im online. Seen a 88 base model cougar in red with TRX wheels still on it, and i saw a 88 white XR7 which i have a pic of to send once i get the camera loaded on the comp. Well i have my list of parts to pull and should be starting on that next week.
Quick question what year explorers have the 5.0? My dad said he will get me the heads and intake, and im gonna have a local shop rebuild them and port the heads and intake for stage 2 build up in my car , and yes they are not gonna be done soon i have other things to do on the car.
O AND GUYS theres a local drag strip its a 1/4 mile and GET THIS, they dont check if you have a lisence, so guess what else, IM GONNA DRAG RACE MY MUSTANG, if i get away with it!!!! my dad is gonna teach me to do stick, and hes gonna let me drive her! we are putting the subframe connectors in, fix the fuel leak, and give her a tune up. Any one have tips fro launching on 235 street tires without wasting them? I found out more on the car, its a 9 inch rear that has been narrowed, and Strange resplined the axles for 31 spline and its running a locker with 4.11, and it has 3 inch wide, 11 inch tall rear drums. Some dude offered me 2k for it today, i told him he was CRAZY and theres no way id sell my baby even for 10k!
And also i MIGHT , ITS A BIG MIGHT be getting a 91 mark VII LSC with a blown trans for parts, the body is perfect, interior junk from leaking sunroof, but get this, it has ALL NEW BRAKES ALL THE WAY AROUND put on 4 weeks ago before the trans went!!! if i get it ill be able to make a working car from the 2. I just hope he decides to sell it and doesnt want a arm and a leg for it....
