Title: Stupid weather!
Post by: P71 on July 15, 2007, 04:32:02 AM
John (ThunderCougarFalconGoat) and I drug the GTO out to try for 12's. Stupid weather was just WAY too hot and humid (you know, like Florida!!!) John got a 13.277@106.42 and a 13.351@107.52. Best we could muster in the heat :(

It was a nasty day in the Northwest.  All you guys back east would be laughing at us but we are not used to this kind of weather.

What did you do different to the GTO?

Actually hasn't been too bad the last couple of day... Temps in the 80s and only moderate humidity... Cut the grass yesterday evening and barely broke a sweat... Course you guys would prob think it's sweltering, but Mike defiantly knows what it's like most of the time in the Summer.....

We didn't do anything different. 100% bone stock (Royal Purple motor oil, ooooh) even the stock tires. We took out the spare/jack/etc, and this time (since John changed the oil right before going to the track) left off the 30# skid plate from up front. I also took off the spoiler. None of that "lightening" seemed to help. It was just too muggy to make anything happen. Did get 3 2.0 60's so the track prep was OK.
