Title: 1984 Thunderbird
Post by: turbotbird on July 09, 2007, 11:50:25 PM
What is a 1984 Thunderbird worth?  It has no motor, but the car has 38,000 original miles on it.  It is in pretty good shape.

Any spicific model like E'lan, Fila or Turbo Coupe? From your name I assume it's a TC. Also how is the body. I'm sure we would need a pic to determine anything. Motor and trans is a nice bonus. Above all, where are ou located. you NEED to have Location ( City and state) or Chuck will shut you ass down quick

I don'tknow much about it.  It is a 1984 two door, it had a 3.8 liter non turbo motor in it.  Body in good shape, needs paint but no dents.  i live in eugene, oregon

well, since this isnt a FS add, or even in the marketplace section, i doubt it will be an issue :flip:

w/o pics it will be dificult to estimate worth. w/o a motor, youre not gonna get much for a "project"

Some are willing to pay good money for a nice body/ interior.  To give you an estimate 300-400 would be about right.

A few local samples (I'm in "the couve" btw)

Ford Thunderbird 1983 - $500 (http://"http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/car/369281002.html")
84 Ford Thunderbird - 110k Original Owner TITLE in HAND - $650 (http://"http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/car/368762194.html")
1986 TBIRD 'ELAN - $450 (http://"http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/car/367974317.html")
84 Ford Thunderbird - Original Owner 110k - $500 (http://"http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/car/366602709.html")
85 Thunderbird - $800 (http://"http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/car/366118174.html")

craigslist, a great place for "comps"
Most of the above are runners and or drivers, so I'm guessing with no engine $200

Ignore that. You're not posting this in the Marketplace Forum, so there's nothing to worry about.

Sorry, read that alittle quick. I thought you were selling it, and to sell here you must have a name/contact info, location or you will get shut down.

No problem at all.  I was just asking so I don't get kicked out my second week here.  I am taking the motor to put in a sand car and the rest will be used by a buddy for parts, just curious.  Making sure I didn't pay to much from ol granny!!  It was free....  See ya, Mark
