Title: Anyone used VHT nightshades?
Post by: SLEEPER T-BIRD 87 on July 08, 2007, 05:53:08 PM
I done my headlights in the bird today and followed the instructions to do 3 coats and these things are to  dark I hit them with a little 1,000 grit (why it looks dull in the pic) after they dried and im going to try to hit it with the buffer to try to lighten them up some. anyone else used this stuff? And if so what was your experiance?

I've used it more times than I can count. I think it was a mistake to use it on your headlights.

I tried that on a spare headlight I had (old Mustang one that was a piece of junk), I couldn't get the stuff to not go on all splotchy without applying a really heavy coat so I didn't even bother with it.

BTW you'll have to be careful with the sanding and buffing, as it doesn't like it very much.
