Thought I'd get some pics up here in addition to the one lame-ass (in my opinion) shot my sig had up until now. I've grown REALLY bored of that and Im REALLY happy with the new one. Probably because the old one was just stand at one corner of the car and aim the camera from where you are to center the car in the shot. Not squatting or from the side or nothing. Too plain and common. Enjoy these far more interesting shots.

I like this angle a LOT. Just looks real sinister, and specifically here because of the tails

Probably my favorite shot. My cousin told me when he buffed it up this year that there's not a lot of paint left  :(. And, in the correct angle in the sun, you can see areas of the car that look a little light. But at pretty much any other angle you see this, and it really looks good. Makes me step back and realize how good of shape the car actually IS in, and then I quit whining about the thin paint. Just gotta be careful, try not to wear it out too much. I've put 6000 miles on it in the 2 years I've driven it, that shouldn't be a problem. I would REALLY like to be able to say years from now, "yup thats the original paint job." So I want to avoid a repaint as long as possible, maybe I can avoid it completely.

As a final note:
God these cars are just pure shag on wheels, IMO. I LOVE this thing SOOOOOOOOO much. I can't wait until it's like 30, 40 years old and ready for the old car shows. Ill bet ours will be some good attention-getters.
paint the bumper trim, and WHATS WITH THE WHITE WALLS! im sorry i cant look it BURNS. other then that looks amazing man!
:stupid: ;)
Looks niiiice & clean.
Let me also say... whitewalls FTMFL.
Nice car.I always liked it.BUUUUUUUT,whitewalls have to go....quick.At least turn them with the whitewalls in.I almost lost my breakfast all over my keyboard when I saw that.I do love the car though. No doubt about that.
:giggle: :giggle: :giggle:
Alrighty here's the story on the whitewalls. I wanted the front tires flipped because the outsides were a little cupped. The insides of these tires are whitewalls. So the shop did that and voila...whites in front. So....he did it all around so at least its all consistent.
Theyre the tires my dad put on it when he first bought it, so theyve got about 40k miles on them. Tread is still good, in the interest of saving $$ I'm keeping them until the tread is no longer good. Then I'll get some raised white letter ones. A little better, right?
Actually I gotta be honest I kinda LIKE these. I think it's because they go with the gold stripe in the trim. Yes white + gold not the same but it looks close so to me it looks alright.
Well, I guess I've kicked off a new era for me on these boards. Let the ridiculing commence, which will likely not stop until these wretched pieces of rubber are gone from this car!!!! :flip:
Looks great but you have to do some trim painting. I have to do that too.
I did my "photo-shoot" next to some big rigs, the driveway also works though.
Burnout vids plz, kthxbye.
Hah. Don't take it too personal. It's just too much going on with the burgundy, gold and ugh... white. OWL's will look fine, I think.
i wasn t being mean its just man they look so wrong on that car! makes it look like a grandma car!
Awww come on dude I been here long enough I know how you guys are :D.
And YES the bumpers are thorns in my side. I hope to get that taken care of this summer.
Hey dont feel too bad my car has the white walls showing as well but noone said nothing about it on my car.

Hey nice cat!!! I like that "special edition" with the gold stripes. Not too common. Enjoy it!
cause the 'caps make are so horrible the whitewalls blend in. LOL. no its only because the WW are on turbines that makes them look so bad. i dont like them over all on our cars though
LOL :rollin: That was funny. Actualy, I don't think they look so bad with the Turbines, but if you had a black car with Black turbines, maybe not. I can understand the saving money bit. The car itself looks great, and yes, it will look better without the whitewalls ;)
Yes, good thing you know they are just giving you a hard time, just because they can, but I sure can remember the days when whitwalls were the BOMB!:flame:
Oh, come on, nearly every car of the late 80's to early mid 90's had whitewalls. Sure they look a little funny because they make the car look soo different. I don't blame you, get the most use out of the tires as possible.
The best part is that nobody would expect a car like that especially with whitewall tires. Ultimate sleeper.
Nice looking cougar Zonda
DING!!! I wonder what fellow motorists think when I take off spiritedly from a stoplight, between the speed and the exhaust note, after seeing the car idling there, whitewalls and all. Grandpa's in a hurry!!!!!:rollin:
Looks good :D
Oh and Duplicolor bumper trim paint works great for the trim.
And we need a white wall burn out vid when you get new tires.;)
+1 on the Duplicolor, lays smooth, matches everything else and is easy to use.
You know that white letter tires look really cool when the car is sitting still but when in motion, they become whitewalls ;)
i'd keep the whitewalls just to be different. People bashing the whitewalls are just jealous :P
Whitewalls look nice on a stock looking car. notice I said LOOKING
Lookin good.
Nice!
You could go for a lowrider look with the whitewalls and drop the car like 3 inches, hehe. :hick:
