Title: fuel line ranting

Ok so i bought a set of the plastic disconnect tools, cause i was to broke from the metal ones. Once i figured out how they go on the lines i press up spring moves, and lines still wont budge? is there some trick to these  things? under there is so greasey its not even funny, and theres coolent on everything so i know the waterpump is gone..... someone help me before i freak out!

pull/push to get the lines off, once the tool is seated properly.

this  fuel line  is so gay.
thunderbird lines are wayyyyy off, and stupid ass pepboys guy gave me a compression union for a low presure system, talked to my dad he told me i need flared fittings, and i need to double flare them. not even sure i can get them to mate together. God i wish i knew what i was doing!

ok so they are not that bad now that they are secured in there, only i dont know which line goes to which one..... the line with the big quick disconnect would be the feed line and the small disconnect would be the return line right???
