Ok ok so its not NHRA approved and quite honestly I dont particularly like it myself. Its my battery relocation into the trunk.

I bought this box from Summit about 2 years ago when I knew I would need to put the battery in the trunk so that I could use that space for other goodies up front.
It seems like it will be a 30 pound projectile if that sheet metal breaks loose. Also If anyone knows exactly how I can wire up a cut off switch so as to not Fry my EEC I would appreciate some advice on that.
In the mean time I think I am going to order the Moroso Aluminium sealed box right directly ! Before I get this car on the road.
Anyways its not going anywhere right now. need to wire up some stuff on the inside.

Also got some gauges mounted in the equalizer space.

Sure hope I can have this car ready for Carlisle Forn Nationals 2008 !!!
looking good man!!
I was thinkin of doing this to my car soon, only mounting on the rear shelf. Looks good man, glad to hear it worked for ya
this reminds me i need to move my battery also!
looking good man!
If you are going to do the rear battery you might as well do it right. It cost more and it's more work but if you don't they will not let you run at the track.
It has to be a sealed box, vented to the outside, No smaller than 3/8 bolts to hold it in, must be a tie down, must have a cut off switch in the rear that will kill the motor. They test it every time.
You can get away from the sealed box if you completely seal your trunk; including behind the seat and speaker holes. Was easier for me to put in the sealed box.
I grounded mine right to the trunk hing mount and it works fine. Must also put a good gound strap from the engine to body up front.
Here's some pictures of mine, seems to make them happy.

Is there a rule about it sticking out of the car so far? I think with yours being a push to turn off you could blend it in by making the bumper cover have a cut out to push on to turn it off. Just wondering. If you can't tell I don't go to the track.
I don't think there is any rule about that. They seem to like it just fine. It has a lot of travel and when it off (in) it goes almost all the way to the bumper. Works good.

I'm gonna run up behind your car, push the lever and run away!
