I drove it home this past weekend (the pics were taken after the buggy drive home).

I had Sciroccos in the past (before I got into Fords) and was always kind of looking to get another at some point.  It's not super "pretty", but I was wanting more of a driver and not some show pony I'd be leery of driving in the winter.  Obviously as things need replacing I'll upgrade :hick: (I think the springs/struts need replacing....so of course I will just have to lower it a touch ...hehe).  There are a couple bonehead previous owner things (like the ed hoodpins :punchballs: ) that I'll need to take care of, but it runs and drives just fine, AND has working AC.

Cool, those are neat looking cars. I've always liked them and are my favorite vws.
I actually like the way the hood pins look. :dunno:
At least it doesn't have a back-up beeper and curb feelers.

Ah, nice, Chuck! über 80's.

Do you have a Flock of Seagulls hairstyle too? Because I'm rockin' a sweet mullet myself... ;)

I knew it, another four-eye :hick: I've always liked the Scirrocco. So when is the VR6 or W8 swap gonna happen? :D

Next to Corrado's and Karman Ghia's, Scirocco's are up there with my favorite VW's. Above all, I'm a veedub guy. I just happen to have a sucker spot for T-birds.

Oh, if I do any VW project, it will be a Mk1.... ;)

Nice car. Not a big fan of the red though. Got 2 of my 3 tickets in a red car. Both times they could of pulled over someone else but they choose the guy in the red car.

I'm not a fan of the red myself, but I wasn't being picky.  I tried to get a CHERRY '84 8V car, but the guy never got back with me.  It was brown though, but almost perfect inside and out.  I was on limited funds that needed to include a plane ticket, so I made due.
This one could clean up if I need it to, but aside from replacing the bad hood and front facia (spoiler) and perhaps euro bits (bumpers and headlights), I MAY (notice I said "may") not do much to it cosmetically.

So that's what those are.  I saw one the other day but the badges fell off of it.  Neat car though, I like the rear of it.
