I was watching "Cops" tonight, and while they were interrogating the crack w they stopped there was a white 87-88 'Bird parked in a dealership lot in clear view for about two minutes of the show. The camera guy even focused on it once or twice - must be a Fox fan :hick:
Nice, gotta love TV endorsp00get. Hell, if one person saw that and was like, "Hey I rememeber those cars, they were sweet" and went out and tracked one down, that'd be awesome.
This also reminds me I saw some lady in a white 87-88 TC that was MINT at a light going the other direction on my way to dropping my dad off at the airport. If I didn't have him with me I would have turned around and asked if she were willing to sell.
Sorry sleeper, but I have to LOL at the hood on your Coug... it seems like every DD/Alternate car you own as a requirement must have a 5"Cowl hood.
I was 3 fox birds and a Mk 7 while watching the Movie RENT with my GF today. A blue 85-86, a red 84-84, a dark grey 87-88 and then a brown-ish Mk 7
I saw a 4 eye Tbird on a show I was watching last night. It's funny to hear girls' comments when I point out cars on TV or in movies :D .
Does anybody remember the episode of Cops where some drunk woman in an '87-'88 TC was fleeing from the police? She eventually wrecked the car and got busted. I can still remember seeing the TC up close courtesy of the cameraman.
Remember the police video where the Turbo Coupe was running away from a cop in a 5.0 Mustang, and winning;)
I remember that one... "You can't escape, man, I've got 5-0!"
that was a great one!!! that t/c was running his ass everywhere!
On the show The Trailer Park Boys, the character Ray, Rickys' Dad. Lives in a dump in season 6, in the DVD extras theres a shot of a Cougar with the rear triangle window busted.
If anyone lives close to the location of where they film the show should try to buy it off them.
I do live close to where they film the show. They used to film it in Woodbine Trailer Park in Sackville (first few seasons), then went to some trailer park in Dartmouth, and then they decided to build their own "Sunnyvale" trailer park in Cole Harbour. Every time you see an old Chrysler Imperial for sale around here now it's advertised as "Just like Mr Lahey's car!" I've always thought it was neat to be watching a TV show (and the movie) and be able to recognize places I'd actually been to...
I wonder if they sell fast when they put that on the add.
I'll try to get a screen shot of the Cougar since we're all picture ws. :D
I tried using the Print Screen, that didn't work. Also tried FRAPs, that didn't work either.
Well anyway its a 87-88 Cougar, black with a red stripe and with 10 hole rims. The rear window is busted as well as the triangle window on the drivers side. The director Mike Clattenburg (sp?) said that they didn't pay that much if anything for the cars so someone might be able to take it off his hands.
Soooo...anyone know where the videos went that I posted here long ago of these? I think I had 4 different ones, but I can only logon/ftp to 2 of the 4 accounts (so I only have two of the four videos back on this PC) and I'm hoping I can still get to the others via http. Took forever to find those videos; recording every show and skimming through them all.
I was watching a movie from 1996 called Orignal Gangsters (http://"http://imdb.com/title/tt0117260/") on stars black (one of the movie channels in Direc Tv's line up) and one scene when a drive by was being committed there was a red 80-84 t bird parked with the Diablo gang i believe.
Ha I remember that episode!!
