Okay, this is just downright scary...

As a side note, look at the different AC bracket that clears the scoops. Where does this come from?

I'm wondering how they retained the hydraulic clutch.

It is the most orginal TC I have seen in a long, long time.  Of cource minus the fact that they had to yank out the 2.3T.  If they left that in it would make it so much better.  At that point I would come up with the money!

I could not find WHY they swapped a 5k mile original TC to a 5.0

Did anybody else find a reason to screw up a car like tht then never drive it?

I can understand doing the swap, but yeah I don't understand the not driving part either.

If I had a 5 speed HO bird with 3.55's in the rear I'd probably drive the wheels off it.

They may have used the MN12 super coupe pieces.

I don't know how strong his love for this car is (the reserved) but if you could get a car like this for about 20k it would be great to get and drive.  Much better car than you can get new for 20k.

I like the V-8 and I think it's the car that Ford should have built, but they would have screwed it up somehow, like 2.73 gears.

I would drive this everyday and pile on the miles.

The car more than likely has a T-5, I wonder if they used a ranger slave cylinder inside the bell housing.  I've heard of this but never seen it.

because it was done when it was 3-4 years old fellah.....sure it was low mileage but it was still nothing spectacular then. its not like someone took a super low mile original car and swaped it over like last week.

WOW, 10 grand with 3 days left. Sure it's brand new... but 10 grand with a STOCK HO swap?!?!? I wonder what the reserve is.

Makes me think I should get underneath my 86 with a pressure washer and a paint marker and slap it on Ebay for 15K with a 20K reserve and go out and buy a used C5 Vette! J/K...

original nothing. the car is more rare and better imo as it sits. you may fing an original in similar shape but you will never see another one like that. if i had it id drop 20k on it. i dont have the means to care for/properly store such a car never mind paying out for a toy like that.

id expect this thing to hit all of 15k....

It's hard to say how much it'll go for. There's basically 4 ways to buy it... Cash, Signature Loan (high interest), Credit Card (high interest) or Home Equity Loan. The most Auto Loan you could get for it would be around 2K? because the banks go by the book value and this car is going for way above book, so that would still leave you needing alot of cash. Whoever has bid it up to 10 grand has some serious cash on hand!

If the reserve is much more than 10K I dont think it will sell even though I think it's worth every bit of 16K because of how new it is and that's about what most of them went for new back in the day. I think it's just too hard to come up with that kind of cash. Most people I know dont even put 10K cash down on a NEW car.

As a side note, the first thing I'd upgrade would be that I'd ditch the puny 4 cyl radiator. I'm sure it is fine for sitting in the garage but I dont think it would be all that great in summer traffic. Then I'd mortgage the wife and sell the kids and get me a M2300K brake kit and some 17X9 5 lugs, lol...

It's the same radiator that 5.0 Mustangs had, so why?

I did not know that... I guess I'm so used to looking at the 3 row modine in my 87 I forgot what it originally came with.

I'd still go with at least a 3 row copper brass though.

For that price its a steal! Takes the restoration pain in the ass part out of the way. I'd love to have that...

Well...the bidders thought it was worth $10K, and evidently the seller thought it was worth a good bit more :p
