I can only imagine this will be used extensively in their new ads.
We are trying our best. Glad to see our efforts are getting noticed...
I have a problem swallowing this sentence
"Mazda is 33.4 percent owned by Ford."
I tend to believe its quite a bit more than 33%.
But back on topic its nice to see something positive about ford.
Now.........if Ford would only build some more cars with some excitement to them. The last generation T-Bird was a major missed opportunity. No sports or handling package, no high performance drivetrain package either. The Lightining and Marauder were killed off far too soon as well. I'm a third generation Ford product owner. Each of my three kids drive Fords. The only high performance offering is the Mustang. A great car to be sure, it just needs some company. No tiny, fake Cougars either, maybe a real tribute to the Fairlane, Cyclone, Falcon or Comet again.
Yay! The big 3 need some good press. That's awesome. I don't care to have a car payment again (at least until hydrogen cars are practical), but I do like the Mustang and Milan.
"Quality is job one"
Remember that line? It's good to see it still holds true. Now they need a good advertising campaign. THey've had a few good commercials in the past couple of years, but most have been rather dull.
Good to see things are truning around at Ford.....................now..............build the 49' concept car and I'll be the first one in line!
I know right? Seriously, this whole "the Mustang can't be out shined" thing is starting to get old fast. Seriously Ford, man up, make some more sports cars, and watch the money from those roll in. Look at the other companies. Gm has the GTO, Monte/Impala SS, Corvette, New Camaro, Solstice, CTS-V and XLR-V.... Chrysler/Dodge has the 300, Charger, New Challenger I mean, plenty of good selling rear wheel drives that don't really pull sales from one another. Ford has the Mustang..... if they were to bring back the Fairlane all retro'd out like the Challenger people would eat that up. Not necissarily saying that's what I like, but apparently, retro is hot again. So I don't know what gives, but they better do something.
I mean hell, I'd have loved to stay Ford when I sold the T-bird, but I didn't want a Mustang, and that was really the only other fast car option in my price range that they offered. I looked at lightnings, but they hold their value so good that it was way too expensive for me, and the T/A was just the right price with plenty of power.
pick this up on sccoa .

also there was talk of a new lightening in 2010 after the f-150 re-design in 09 hope its true
quality and six sigma can not exist under the same operation. People say the want it but dont push it.
Ever studied "Lean Manufacturing"? this says it all relating to quality and time.
theres a few projects they need to go back to ie the mini suv market (cough bronco 2 cough). if they turned out a good small muscle car like the old falcon they would start turnin around and at least give detroit something to talk about. the line has stagnated, i talked to a salesman a while back and he said the cross overs are big now i asked him why they are not selling as big as everyone else. i never did get an answer.
Yup, I know exactly what that is! You could have let me enjoy my little pipe dream for a while, LOL:toilet:
