Title: the bird in primer
Post by: 1WLD BRD on June 05, 2007, 06:46:08 PM
I finished the body work and got the whole bird done in primer today, (with the exception of the bumpers)  Here are some pics of it.  I guess now after the car show tomorrow I will be adding another scoop on the driverside.  Then finish up some touch up spots that I missed, and paint it.

Green with black accents. You never see green on these cars.

I'm feeling a blue/white or blue/black scheme, but I'd have to see your design first.

Btw, that fender scoop looks really  cool!

That black/blue combo looks pretty  cool. I know no one puts green on these cars. If I had one and redid it, I would at least attempt it. Forest Green was what I was thinking, and Silver would compliment that really well. When I get a bird I plan on Forest Green, unless I already like the color lol.

Either all one color or two tone black and silver, and no racing stripes man.
There is a guy around here that painted his TC deep forest green,it looks absoloutley sweet.

I dunno, I am really liking that black on blue scheme.  Think you could change the blue to silver?  or maybe even white?

alright, i didn't mean it looked bad in any way, its a cool scheme. But a darker blue might look cooler, maybe a midnight blue or a shade lighter than that.

Personally I think that’s HOT, Of course yes you have to have the power to sport a paint job like that. But I love it!

Have any more info on that car?

if you are going to use a color off the Fusions use the Charcol gray they have. If i can come up with a 2tone i like its going to be that color and black

man you have gone to another level, body mods!  (more than removing trim and adding scoops from a book - no disrespect to some of the others on the level) i personally think the angle could have been fine tuned, but hey it might be to your liking! to me that mod, which is basically a knock off of the stock tc hood scoops that everyone wants when they first see them, but put them in almost IMO a better place.  stock TC it works, otherwise just something in the way.  here tho, this needs a paint that will make the mod stand out.  im on the fence callin for a charcoal grey with red pinstripe.  definatly metalic but light enough so that the scoops are in your face from the corner angle. btw, what are you using to paint the bumpers?  i might like a couple of those... it would look crazy on a wide body T...

Okay i tried but i wish i could have got a better silver. I would like to do a silver and black paint scheme on my sport. So I did a chop of my car with the paint the opposite way too.
