:birdsmily:

Now then, who wants some? :beatyoass:

I've got to do a 100 mile break in, then it's oil change and track time. June 16th I'll be at the track.

As soon as I save up the $$$, a tuner and my 56# injectors are going it, then hello Mr. 30 psi!

Hankook IceBear's :hick:

I have a set of Goodyear RS-A's (cop car take offs) that work wonders. I'm going to try the IceBears though because they're a really soft compound.

My first TC was a Medium Red moonroof 88. It got hit by red light runner and spun into a ditch. Needless to say it was totaled. I spent 3 YEARS looking for another Red moonroof TC and found this one on some po-dunk used car lot in Lynwood. I was bidding on the only other red moonroof TC for sale at all in those 3 years (ebay car that broke $10,000 in NY) but said forget it and bought her anyways. Half of the interior was missing, the car was 3 different colors, and the exhaust drug on the pavement. I won the auction but the seller tanked and I haven't seen another for sale until this year. I name all of my cars (because I've owned over 100 already) and Layla just seemed to "fit" because she was an unobtainable B!tc#!

The Nissan truck is called "Stitch" because it's a little Blue monster. ;) All the other trucks here are king cab long bed 8" lift on 36"s dually 4wd turbo diesel f750 monstrosity's with out and any dirt on them.

Haha thats a good story.  I've never named my car, though.  Hmmmm...

The only car I've ever named was my first one, Bertha. It sported a black spray-bomb paint job, rusted out rear quarter panels repaired with "tiger hair" (bodyfill with fiberglass strands), the hood didn't close right, the wheels didn't match (at first), the vinyl seats were all ripped, and it had no carpet. "Bertha" just seemed to fit...

Smoking issue is GONE. Prototype MaxPSI oil return line kinked. A new stock-length solved the issue permanently. Boost turned up to 15# and I'm living the good life!

Best time so far for a Turbo 4 is;

Inspiribomb - 1987 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, 2.3T/T5, bolt-ons and DR's - 14.337@96.24 (2007)

from the top 25 list.

I'm sitting on the edge of my chair waiting for the race results.  Did you say you are expecting high 12 or low 13?  We will see.

Very nice job.

Mid 13's as it sits. Once the 56#s and whatever tuner I choose are in (MS2, TwEECer, MSD Blaster EFI) the boost gets turned up and I'm going for 12's. Next year when our ethanol plant is done (and we get the sweat, sweat necter of E85) and I've had a chance to really drive it and get some serious tuning done I will turn the  to "kill" and go for 11.70's.

But first things first. Let me get her to a track and make some shakedown passes. ;)

10 psi was OK, 15 is a LOT better. They are NEW 35#s so it's not too bad. Not to mention timing is at 6 base and the FP is high in order to keep it together.

PS - In the User Rides Thread, 12 new pics for you pic ws!

Right now, pig rich. I have to get to the track to tune anything. I'm going to mess with the timing here soon and get it more towards correct (old combo was 10*, cam straight up). I get to play with the adjustable gear a little too as right now it's DEAD under 4000 RPMs unless I'm already moving (dump the clutch). Fuel pressure is at 42 right now, but needs to come down a little. I need to tighten the VAM spring too. Oh well, I'll update once I actually play with it. For right now:

Base timing: 7* SPOUT out
Cam timing: straight up/0*
Fuel pressure: 42# base
Boost: ~15#, 3 threads left on stock Gillis
VAM: stock
EGR vacuum: hooked up
Powerband: 4,000-6,000 like a banshee
Idle: 1,100 warm, doesn't when cold
Drivability: Great!
Mileage: ??? yet, 42 miles on current combo

I've been watching your car slowly develop into what it is now, i can't wait to see and hear the thing make its first run down the track. I am looking forward to see how the car will react to your tunning/adjustments you make in the near future. I predict that you will run mid 12's when its all dialed in. Kudos to you man, thats one hell of a car!
