Title: Fuel Lines
Post by: GrannysBird on May 21, 2007, 05:11:15 PM
Well it's been a while, and there must be a reason I have a set of fuel lines from a 5.0 cougar, but I just can't remember if I need to swap out my old 3.8 cfi lines and replace them with the 5.0 ones. Is this the case or can i simply reroute my 3.8 lines from above the motor to under it. Any opinions greatly appreciated.

I'm currently in the middle of a 3.8 cfi to 5.0 ho swap if that helps. I'm just trying to wrap up all of the odds and ends before I dive into the wiring.

I would swap the fuel lines..  If the lines are from a 88 car they will be routed differently at the rear of the car for dual exhaust.  If there from an 87 they will be routed the same as your cars and it puts them nearly in the path of the exhaust.  Either way swap them out so you don't have to mess with splicing anything at the engine.
