Title: Belt Moulding
Post by: fastbird86 on January 29, 2005, 04:18:19 PM
Does anybody know were I can get Belt Moulding for my '86 T-Bird. The belt moulding is the felt moulding that keeps water from going into the door when it rains, for people who don't know. I need a new set for my car.

Sorry,I don't know. They'll be the same as an '88.Go to a salvage yard with a cordless drill and some bits, find a good set from another car, drill out the rivets and there you go.Is the rubber moulding (seal) good?

well, its not produced any more, so your best bet is trying to find someone parting out a similar car or a junkyard

The hollow rubber gasket that runs around the perimeter of the door jamb. The door seals up against it when you close the door.Usually, they're torn near the bottom where you put your feet in and out.Mine was like that until I bought this Mark VII and did a little seal swapping.
