Post by: vinnietbird on May 19, 2007, 08:24:55 PM
I just bought a "Cold Heat" soldering "device".I haven't tried it yet.I bought it for soldering the brass pieces together to make tubular a frames and control arms for a 1/12 camaro I'm working on.Has anyone had any experience with them?

My father gave me one for Christmas a few years ago. Tried it once, didn't work that great, put it in the dreaded "bottom drawer" of my tool chest, and there it's been ever since

I got one about a year ago. Not the best I've ever used but it doesn't melt stuff you don't want it to. That's a big plus when working with wiring that's close to plastic.
