Last night while at work I KNEW the Mustang would be ready for pickup following the hood install. Why? Because of the enormous storm front that moved in and is supposed to stay until late tomorrow. I have to wash it and wax every nook and cranny now, but she looks good!
Sweet.. these new stangs really do look beefy with the cowl hoods!
cool, looks good.
Pimp! i like the spoiler delete option.
I love how that car still looks pretty much stock. Seeing it goin down the road, I would never suspect what you have hiding under that hood :D . Just the way I like it.
only thing id love to see on that would be different wheels nothing insane but like some torq thrusts i jsut don't care for the way those spokes are formed. looks INSANE man, now just drop it, and wheels, brakes, and suspension mods and should be nice! lol
I think it needs the low profile spoiler, IMHO it would help the lines of the car. But, if you like it without, by all means keep it that way.
That enormous storm front dropped snow on us up here. In may! Suck it up, princess. ;)
Well, you may have heard me say I dislike cowl hoods. (they're as common on American coupes as book shelves are on import trunks) I do like the way this one looks. Maybe it's because it's one of the first I've seen on a new Stang, but it seems more understated than any I've seen on a fox body. Muscular without looking like a sidewalk was dropped on the hood.
Funny, I've always considered the bullits to be a TTII rip off wheel. I like them more in fact. I think TTII's are super over done.
Car looks tits man, lucky you.
Nice!
VERY NICE !!! Are you going to get new wheels to back up the power?17x10 maybe for the rear?
I like that hood. Gives it a beefier look without lookin' too wild. Kinda like a soft growl, "maybe I can take you in one bite, maybe not". I prefer the wings myself too, but, its your car man, still looks great. I'm hopping, way down the road, to get me one of the newer mustangs. Probably the best looking new car on the road IMHO.

schweet! thats just what those cars need. it looks great.
NO TT2's!!!!! yes they are over done, and the bulliets look like them, i LOVE torque thrust d's, the original stlye, and i intend to try and get them for the lincoln
ah, just throw some old school deep-dish cragars on it.
looks great. but its itchin for a flat black hood and the boss stripes down the side.
The stock rims will stay for now. I've been busy concentrating on cleaning it back up after it sat out in the rain for a few hours and I had to drive it home.
I found an overspray spot on the bottom of the driver side rocker panel. They had to blend the fenders, but ! It took me two hours to get it out with some good polish, my buffer, and a claybar with spray wax! It was on there pretty good. All that's left is the passenger side sill panel inside the door and I'm done.
I pluncked down $19 on a fuse box cover because mine had a scratch on it that I put there from the supercharger install. The scratch was too deep to fix and was unsightly.
I didn't remember reading it anywhere, Paul, but have you done any exhaust work?
Yes. JBA ceramic coated shorties and Steeda axleback lers. I kept the stock mid pipe
Body shops can leave a mess. I had the fender on my new car resprayed and they left overspray on my front bumper and scratches/swirls on my hood. It did take a lot of work to take out.
Your car looks awesome as it sits.
Are you going to take the Mustang in Carlisle again this year?
What products are using for detail if I may ask?
I use Mother's brand clay bar. It comes with Showtime California Gold spray wax (also a Mother's product).
As far as spray waxes go, the California Gold is the one of the best ones I've ever used. Almost all others either:
a) leave a filmy residue or;
b) don't clean water spots and such as well
As far as wax I've recently started using No.7 brand clearcoat polish followed up by Turtlewax Color Magic. I've been using the color magic stuff for a long time.
My buffer is simply my 18 volt Milwaukee cordless drill with a 6 inch diameter buffer attachment. Best drill I've ever owned. 6 years old, been dropped a few times from 15 feet plus and still working like new and has no visible signs of being dropped either. All cloths used are microfiber. No substitutes!
ANother good wax/polish company is Adam's Polishes. The web site is here: http://www.adamspolishes.com/
The products are a little pricey, but top quality and they give results. The downside is having to order them online as no one I know of by me carries them. The owner lives right in Carlisle, PA and is at every auto show at the fairgrounds.
That's all some good stuff. Ever hear of Tropi-Care? That's who I've been using for ~2 years now. Very, very high quality and very affordable. I don't use all of their stuff, but their polishes and waxes can't be beat.
I still use good ole Mother's for mags (though the Powerball is a marketing gimmick POS) and Meguire's for plastics and leather.
