on an old school bbs type wheel. what color for the center? black, gold, body color or other?
black
Matte silver. Not quite a grey but not a blinding silver either
paint the car black then the rims. might be more than you asked for but IMO that would be the only way to go. and polish the lip Really good
Paint the rims red to match your car.
First, do you plan to keep the car red. #2. if so, I'd a a bit darker of a red. I retract my silver comment, as a darker red would look bettter on the car. I'd also add that a white letter tire would really set off a darker wheel color.
These wheels look great on a red car:

Don't mind the silver painted drums, they were like that when I bought the rear.
I say paint them a dark grey (I can't remember the exact color by name, they have wheel paint like this).Black hides all of the detail.
cool i like the grey. maybe gunmetal. when the car gets painted same color i'm doing the side trim and lower belt line the same color as the turbo. maybe the hood bulge the same grey w/ 1/4" stripe around it. and grille body color. what y'all think about that?
Dark grey or black will do a lot better job of hiding the brake dust those wheels will get covered with...
Black or Gunmetal.
Body colored grille looks good. That little chrome grille on a car without hardly any chrome never looked quite right to me.Mine was body colored til the TC nose went on.
